A Korean business herald's expert team "Super Rich" has estimated that all five BIGBANG members' assets alone equal to 40 billion won (which is approximately 33 million USD), 15 out of the 40 billion (about 1/3 of the total) being G-Dragon's assets.

1. [+713, -108] Even when G-Dragon did something illegal, he got so many shields. Proves that money is power in this hell of a country. Get rich if that pisses you off.

2. [+609, -81] So he has to enlist soon, right??

3. [+573, -111] He's living well for someone who plagiarizes and does drugs thanks to a company that media plays for him as if he's some prodigy

4. [+46, -2] I feel like he'd own more than 15 billion won...

5. [+46, -2] GD only has 15 billion won? I expect at least 30 billion won. 'Lies' was released 9 years ago and it has been one of the top idol songs ever since. 15 billion won doesn't seem like enough.

6. [+34, -14] I bet my entire life savings on GD not going to the army. He's going to do whatever it takes to get into public service.

7. [+27, -9] Seungri is really getting a free ride by GD's bus ㅋㅋ

8. [+26, -3] Instead of studying hard to get into a prestigious college, training in singing and dancing and becoming an idol seems to have a bigger success rate. Even if you study your butt off and get into a big company, you'd still never be able to imagine making 15 billion won in your life time. Being a clown in Korea makes more money nowadays.

9. [+17, -0] I'm not saying celebrities don't work hard for their money but they make way too much. No wonder everyone wants to be celebrities.. I know a hyung who majored in finance at a state university in New York and he studied his butt off to get scholarships and now works at one of the biggest companies in Korea managing VIP accounts but he only makes 200 million won a year... which is still a lot but not even comparable to how much celebrities are making.

10. [+16, -0] So this is only calculating their public assets, right... I bet this is only the tip of the ice berg considering Seungri has the kind of cash like 2 billion won laying around to let others borrow and Taeyang's able to buy a 5 billion won building without taking out a loan. They take 70% of their digital/physical sales, 90% of CF contracts, and 100% of individual activities, so...

11. [+16, -3] I predict way more than 30 billion won

I just need 5 mil tops. Just 5. Please?

Lol at people saying this is way too much money for artists to have. You buy your faves songs and merchandise, and tune in to their shows and concerts etc, this is what happens. They end up with a shitload of money. I can't hate. They hustled and the game is the game.

LMAO those netizens are like ONTD and their student loans

At least Bigbang earned that money with insane hard work for the last 10 years. Not like the dirty ceos that exploit poor people and take bribes.

That's probably the tip of the iceberg if they're managing their money well. Just look at lifestyle expenditure, eg tabi's insta is too much for me, and seungri's jet setting. While I concede that they earned that money, I also think they run the risk of alienating older fans and even young kids.

I don't get why there'd be a backlash. Considering they're 10 years in and only fairly recently seen spending their own money (hardly too extravagantly) or by friends in high places that wine and dine them.

It's always a risk to try a career in entertainment, and big risks mean big rewards if you succeed. Netizens can be salty all they want. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Get that $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Honestly though, G Dragon has almost twice as many copyrighted songs than any other idol and a lot of them are HUGELY popular. Big Bang is one of the biggest groups in Korea so there would be something wrong if he wasn't making money off of that alone. Plus a lot of the members have invested wisely; they've got cafes, G's pension, and Seungri's dance studios that are all earning them income and T.O.P's got his fine art game going on. Plus the fact that they started out as trainees with nothing; YG wasn't exactly a rich company back then and they pretty much built it into what it is today. All of them have worked their asses off since they were teenagers for what they have and continue to do so, so I ain't gonna be mad if Seungri takes a private jet on vacation or G buys some more fucking Chanel.

GD probably was gifted most of his Chanel lbr. Don't forget his new Jeju cafe too!

I have a friend who chartered a private jet for a family vacation, I think the cost wasn't that much of a difference with business class tickets (especially when you split the total with more people) plus you've got privacy for the whole group.

Oh yeah, I'm sure a lot of it is gifted but I know he does actually buy pieces he likes rather than just waiting on people to send him stuff for free, which is why a lot of designers like him.

It must be so nice to have a whole plane basically to yourself, not have to go through airport security... I'll just be over here squashed into an economy seat T_T
