Gaon has revealed the album sales rankings for solo singers in 2015. The list includes many singers from K-pop idol groups who released solo albums. Singers who are not a part of a group are actually in the minority this year. Did your favorite solo singer of 2015 make the list? Find out!

The top 10 singers with the highest album sales for 2015 are as listed below:

Taeyeon's mini seems to have performed so much better than anyone expected... and deserved because it was good.

Also where are the days when legit soloists rulled instead of idol group members? Wow times change.

i'm surprised yonghwa managed to sell that much when cnblue did pretty badly for them this year

kyuhyun and junsu's solo album sales dropped a lot since their previous releases

It's really interesting that Yonghwa's solo did way better than CNB's both physically and digitally what makes me think that 90% of CNB fans are basically here for Yonghwa lol.
So proud of Jjong for such decent sales with his almost entirely self-composed album. Get that money. Sunggyu also did surprisingly well.

Yonghwa was the one pulling CNB wagon at the beginning and looks like he still contribiutes the most. He's the one with "it" factor, good for them he a leader lol

Yeah I went to CNB concert in London with two friends. One was a fan of Jonghyun, the other one a fan of Jungshin. After the concert we were looking at the pictures we took and both my friends had almost only pictures of Yonghwa, their forgot to take pictures of their own favs ahah

I'm not anybody fan, but I liked Yonghwa's solo where the last two CNBlue were just bad imho, songs were weird, so I would think it's a matter of quality/likeability of material too?

They all had really good albums - I especially liked Yonghwa's, Jonghyun's, Taeyeon's and Hongki's but Sunggyu's "27" is hands down my favourite (Kim Jong Hwan's compositions and producing + Sunggyu's voice and emoting are a killer combo).

So glad Yonghwa did well with sales. He did a great job with the album overall.

I'm surprised Yonghwa did so well, I didn't expect it. But I'm glad for him, it was a good album, nice collaborations, and you can feel he put all his heart into it.
I didn't like Jonghyun's album that much. I love his voice, he's a great performer, but I'm just not into the type of music he made.
Sunggyu's album was amazing, I love it. Even my parents love it and don't mind when my sister plays it in the car, which means a lot because they hate kpop
I don't know why I didn't listen to Taeyeon's full album while I loved her title song. I guess I know what I will be doing tomorrow!

i'm really not surprised that yonghwa did so well physically, honestly. fnc released three different versions of the album and, like said above, his fans make up a good chunk of cnblue's fandom plus his popularity in china is wildly high. i remember reading somewhere that he was at the top of the chart of hanteo's popularity... deal in china for pretty much the entirety of the year.

i'm glad that taeyeon and sunggyu sold as well as they did. apparently sunggyu sold a little better than he did for his first mini which is nice to see. both albums were great too, so.

and i'm super proud of jonghyun!!! i'm pretty sure he just about broke 100k with his overall sales for the year with his second album added on, plus his digital sales were really good for a male idol soloist. i think when you combine digital / physical sales numbers he did the best for the year after taeyeon. (though i'm always gonna side eye sm a bit because i heard they took a long time to restock extra albums after they sold out in january. they did the same thing with f(x) in the past.) but both of his albums were amazing.

My faves were Lovekiller by NIEL (it would have been a miracle if he was in the top ten, so I'm not surprised) but really surprised that Hawwah didn't sell more!! And Hyosung Fantasia's also isn't here, although pretty much every song on that album was a funky jam for me. OH and Lim Kim's Simple Mind not here, that's a real absence.

But Jonghyun really deserves no.3, BASE was great.
