I didn't even realize how much i missed her voice till this cover. Her voice is so beautiful and there was this raw sensibility in her voice that made me appreciate her cover a lot. I really hope that for her solo debut will be successfuland she continues career as a singer and it won't be just one single single as a treat for fans.
I'm not particularly interested in her voice or whatever, but she had a very nice vulnerability while singing this which makes it very nice to listen to. Indeed much more interesting than most ballads

How come? This was not recorded recently, but just a little while after she was kicked out of SNSD, so right after the "Mr.Mr."-era, during which her vocals were very good.
"Sing a song with yourself" is a new tv show, in which guests discuss their lives, hardships, dreams and so on. Sica's episode was just the first one which was broadcasted. I'm pretty sure the broadcasting date was fixed from the beginning, because she mentioned this show already back in her Tudou interview in August.
I love Sara Bareilles and Sica's vocal ability but idt the two go together? ;_; This was so good and refreshing to hear tho, I really missed her voice and that's the one I think has been lacking in SNSD material. Her voice is always so distinct in SNSD. I'm not always a fan of the screechy tonality but ;_______;
ia. sara has more depth when she sings imo. idk how to explain it. she sings really heavily--she delivers really good emotions when she sings. she's a wonderful singer tbh, one of my faves.

I never would have imagined the day that I'd hear Jessica sing a Sara Bareilles song :O This is probably my favourite song off her "Little Voice" album because it's just so beautiful. So hearing Jessica singing again and singing this song on top of that has legit given me feels *O* You go Sica unnie, unleash them vocals! \o/
Hmm. Not liking her voice in this at all, maybe it's because it's in english? But the comments about the vulnerability in her voice are so right. She has always had great expression in her voice, I'll miss that aspect of SNSD's sound.
i love this because it is so different from the original, but in such a good way. like when i listen to the original it is like physical exhausting and this one is nice and raw too but in a calmer way

It's been a while since I've heard Jessica sing a song with a lower tone. Most of her ballads, she sings with a higher tone which seems to be easier for her to convey emotion and vulnerability. So this one ballad, while I love the lyrics of this Sara Bareilles song, it doesn't sound as emotional as I expected.
gravity is quite an emotional song when bareilles sings it. jessica doesn't just bring it for me. anyway, jessica's lower register is gorgeous. i've been longing for her to use it since forever
well, this is quite a surprised. a kpop singer covering bareilles? then again, jessica always had great taste in music so i really shouldn't be too surprised.
again, a decent cover but not my fave. anyway, sica's vibrato and resonance are beautiful tho!!
I don't know why but I was setting myself to be disappointed but I am pleasantly surprised. I haven't listened to the original version, which is maybe why, but I really like this.
I was so emotional watching this ;____; It's been so way too long since we've been able to hear her sing she still sounds amazing. And I hear the vulnerability in her voice like what others have said.
(also, I'm really glad that in this video, she spoke well of her time in snsd especially when this was right after she was forced out of the group)
