I wouldn't have even known that JongKey moment happened if I hadn't watched their concert footage a trillion times on YT, shame on you, SBS. Denying netizens of unknowingly becoming JongKey trash. Dishonor.

Jonghyun looked annoyingly delicious during his solo performance. I have made a decision that he and I will have to run up on him if he changes his hair color. Unless it goes darker, then we can come to a truce. Him and Yubin looked so cute together.

Onew in that jacket, on top of me actually loving the jacket, is too much. Congrats on him winning best leader.

Jonghyun and Key were straining to hear and to be heard, and at some point, the audio seemed like it was coming in a little under a second later and smacking them in the back of the head. But, being the professionals they are, they pushed through it and still delivered a good performance.

The joy that picture of TaeKaiSoo will bring to the tags. Wonder if they're laughing at their fail stage...lol. That's not a collaboration, SBS, btw.

Jonghyun was so rude last night during Deja-book performance. Putting on his blazer, popping his colar? Rood.

Meanwhile, Taemin was being all ethereal and angelic with his piano and, son, that collarbone was rood as well. I literally freaked out when I realized, that, yes, he was playing the piano.

Everyone wanting that piece of Vampiric King. I swear Onew's expression (and makeup?) negate the colorfulness of his jacket. He really looked like he was the 'King' of the group, or it is just his charisma exploding?

The lighting and sound system was a mess but of course SHINee pulled it through. I was really hyped up for Hitchhiking and ngl, I'm disappointed when they panned out the jongkey moment, but the entire performance was satisfying.

I thought it was only me but imo his charisma has totally exploded in the last couple of years but especially this year. He looks so mature, smooth and confident all the time now. I see lots of people saying that he finally has that "leader" feeling and I totally agree.

Onew really ages like a fine wine.
2015 was a good year for Onew (and SHINee in general), it think it has to do with how they've found their own stance in the group and has clear mindset of what they're going to do in the future. Onew has always has this calm yet controlling (in a good way) in him, but before, he was a little bit guarded? And this year he was more 'free' in showing what he wants to do? IDK how to explain it but I think we all caught on it, I mean, he was practically GLOWING the whole year.

I totally agree. He's grown beautifully both looks-wise and as a performer and like you said, he's always had that kinda controlling aura but his stage persona (also, the fact that he was younger) didn't allow him to show more of his real personality. Now that they've been around for almost 8 years and most of them dgaf about their stage personas anymore, they've showing their real personalities. Iirc Onew's always said that his real personality is pretty different from his stage persona and I think we're seeing more of his real personality (self-confident, polite and nice but assertive and dominant at the same time) more than ever. You can tell the other members respect him, follow him and admire him a lot so you can tell that he's far from being a "weak" leader.

Onew shines every single performance but for me, he truly shines when they're doing 'darker' song like 'Evil' or 'Lucifer', maybe because we get to see 'a glimpse' of his real self. IA,the members REALLY adore and respect him a lot. He might be the quiet presence in the back but he's their stronghold at the same time.

I love how SHINee are much more in the element now, they seem to truly enjoy performing and doing it for the sake of it rather than winning anything or anyone. It's during this time that I feel like I'm stanning the 'right' group.

The funny thing about Jjong's stage was that right after the lights went down and the cameras went off on him looking cocky with his arm around Yubin's shoulder, they quickly separated and he bowed 90 degrees to her. It was so cute. Thank God for fancams.

shinee are too good goddamn. hitchhiking was a surprising choice but maybe they're too busy to learn + rehearse something new so they had this to fall back on, so to speak. idk, either way i'm still happy because i love hitchiking and how intense it is and they did a really good job of bringing it to live (did you hear them breathing into the mics once it was done??). you can't tell from the shitty camera work and lightning but fancams confirm that they were indeed amazing. everyone knows the best part is the jongkey moment and then onew popping up from nowhere, such a disappointment it wasn't shown.

the view remix was also so pretty, i loved it. if sm knew what was good for them they would release studio versions of these remixes but i highly doubt they will. the collab stage was unnecessary and when i realized shinee were doing the rock version i did put my face in my hands but i take it back! it's been a while since i've seen them go so hard during lucifer i'm blown away. but, how amazing wouldn't it have been if they did an actual song swap and shinee did mama. imagine taemin's mama rendition but like 10x better. missed opportunity is all i say.

jonghyun's solo stage with yubin was magnificent and i'm still clutching my heart. he's too good, and he looked so comfortable on stage. taemin and his piano playing will always bring me joy.

lastly, i'm so happy onew got that award. it's a small thing, but sometimes i feel like people who aren't into shinee don't even realize that he's the leader so him getting recognition, and that from his peers, is very touching.

edit: forgot to add, i really hope they do married to the music during one of the upcoming gayos/award shows. it's too good of a performance to be ignored like this ;;

mte!!!! on mttm!! i was conversing with some people earlier and we were like: "... are sm trying to ignore mttm like they ignored wss back in 2013?" because i really hope not. i love view and i'm loving the remixes of it but mttm is soooo fun and we've barely gotten any official performances of it. i think they removed it from shinee's tour setlist too? idk. i wouldn't be surprised if the second song choice today was because of busy schedules though. apparently minho just finished filming a movie earlier this week and onew's either almost done with or just finished with filming for his drama. so it makes me wonder what they'd perform if they did more than one song at any of the other gayos: love sick? odd eye? an encore? woof woof? (no)

the next few gayos are gonna be interesting either way. i know that key is confirmed for a collab stage with woohyun for kbs, and there's a rumor going around that jjong's singing baek ji young's infamous ost from secret garden with her during the same gayo.

yeah, i would love to see more of mttm, it deserves better. we even know that there's an alternate choreo so how hard could it be really?? i've been thinking about what songs they could perform a lot actually. i would love it if they did alive, i feel like that would work really well, because it's just the right kind of intense for a gayo. odd eye would be the choice of my heart though. the only reason i can come up for them not doing it is the styling because they would either have to do view withh odd eye styling or the other way around lol (but that's a weak argument bc they could always wear something like their outfits from a-nation earlier this year). a remix of love sick would also be lovely tbh

MTTM is criminally underrated in every sense. I know that the song is not as public friendly / easy-to-listen as View but that whole era (visuals, choreo, that MV full of delicious dark comedy) was GOLD.

That's so crazy to me because MTTM is ridiculously catchy! I've caught myself singing it randomly so many times since it's come out. I guess because they only promoted it for about two weeks on television, it's an easy thing to cut, but that makes me so sad because it's so great live. Although with the awful camera work of SBS and MBC, I don't know if I'd enjoy it as much tbh

I find MTTM super catchy too and sometimes I think I even like it better than View. But I can see why View did better with the public - it's the typical song upbeat song with a catchy hook and easy-to-listen while MTTM can be more complicated to listen at first for the average listener I guess. Plus like you said, they barely promoted that song at all (not that View was super well promoted either but MTTM's promos were basically non-existent).

Taemin's song with Baekchen was boring as hell but I'd be lying if I said he didn't sound/look good.
I loved Jjong's performance and idc if Yubin isn't a great rapper, they look great together.
Hitchiking is one of my favorite songs from MOY so I was pleasantly surprised by that. Plus horrible fashion aside, Onjongho looked hot as shit.
I live for shineeexo's cute interaction so that fake "collaboration" left me pissed. I wanted a /real/ collab.

I was disoriented seeing them go kinda hard on the Lucifer choreography because they're normally kind of lazy with it these days lol. Jonghyun looks so healthy and I loved his styling for the solo. Kind of sad the chances of seeing Hallelujah performed live are low though.

Their Gayo stages are always so minimalist, which I don't really mind because they're normally always back in Japan or prepping for concerts around this time of year. I love View but I always dread the tragic styling. I wish they'd do MTTM so they could wear the suits because the styling for their live stages were on point for that song.
