OMG they look sooo good and some of these are so fluffly. Between this and shinee's calendar I'm gonna be so fucking broke but idc if I can drown in all this pretty.
The more I'm looking at the leader the more he resembles Jonghyun from CNB They really have like 5-6 slaying visuals, use them well Pledis, there's potential male (ok, boy) version of Nana right here.
For me it's Mingyu, Jeonghan, Joshua, Vernon and Wonwoo. Yeah, Minguy has the same kinda effortlessness with his looks just like Nana, potential is there. Actually him, Ikon's Chanwoo, Song Yubin and BTS's Jungkook are the visual F4 for the under 20' generation (at least that's what my young cousins&their friends think and tellin me, the out of touch dinosaur lol)
It could just be the scans being super bright but why must they insist on snatching every last bit of melanin out of these boys' skin? I almost preordered this calendar but when I saw these I was glad I didn't. Like they still look good but I'm tired of both Pledis and these fansites making Jeonghan look like ashy Voldemort when in actuality his skin is so golden and glowy. I always wonder how Mingyu feels when he sees whitewashed pictures of himself considering he's been pretty vocal about how much he likes his skintone and is always "???" when anyone makes a comment that is even slightly disparaging about it.

Yeah, it's super frustrating, I saw a few pictures of Jeonghan with his actual skin colour and he looked...so...good??? Why do people feel the need to whiten them so much? And when the members are vocal about liking their skintone it's even more annoying. gah.
edit: lol even my dp has jeonghan with super pale skin, it's so hard to find ones where he looks normal.
Late reply but I wonder how much Jeonghan's ~angel~ image comes into play when fansites decide to lighten his skintone. I don't know if it's because I'm biased but I feel like he gets some of the the worst treatment in the group in regards to this issue (Jisoo and Wonwoo too omg). Because obviously you can't be an ethereal being if your skin's any darker than light sickly gray.
I didn't even think of that, actually. It probably does have a huge part to play, and that really annoys me, hahaha. Christ. I think some of them really are editing it to make the whole picture brighter and better, but then there's a way to do that without making the idols looks white as ghosts so....
omg yes, this is so annoying. I understand that Korea likes pale skin and they still look good even with the whitewash but Jeonghan natural skin looks like it was dipped in gold. It's so beautiful and glowy I don't understand why they feel the need to do that. Whenever I watch the Adore U accoustic version I feel like crying because he looks like a god.
And they often put a bb cream that's too pale for him and doesn't match his neck and it offends me. And Mingyu to me looks so much better with darker skin, I feel sad.
Aww don't be sad. It is frustrating but honestly I've been around the block and back when it comes to kpop groups and I feel like Seventeen have way more fansites that DON'T whitewash the members compared to some of the other groups I've stanned. Like, most of the members in my personal "visual" list (Jeonghan, Mingyu, Jisoo, Jun, Wonwoo, Seokmin with the right hairstyle) are tan as hell and at least I have plenty of pictures to prove it.
