tidbit information: it's rumored that red velvet's joy / btob's sungjae may be having a special stage because some hints were dropped on we got married, but no one knows how accurate the rumors are. crush and dynamic duo are listed together on the official setlist so people are guessing they'll be doing a stage together. hong jin young and tae jin ah are the only trot singers attending so we'll probably be getting trot hour from them.

💖 each setlist is a little bit shorter in confirmed guests than last year's (specifically mbc's which had close to fifty confirmed performers, and only has thirty six this year) so most are assuming those final few steps are reserved for performances from idol soloists / subunits that promoted (and did well) this year, ie: hyuna, jonghyun, taeyeon, niel, sunggyu, yonghwa, infinite h and vixx-lr.
💖 the following artists will only be attending one gayo:
* sbs: ikon, t-ara, twice and up10tion.
* kbs: ali, hong kyung min, hwang chi yeol, kim chang wan band, moon myung jin, noel, and son seung yeon
* mbc: baek ji young, hong jin young, jyp, oh my girl, oh my girl, shin seung hoon, sonamoo and tae jin ah.
💖 the following artists will be attending all three gayos (everyone else is attending two of the three): a pink, ailee, aoa, b1a4, btob, cnblue, exid, exo, g-friend, got7, infinite, mamamoo, red velvet, shinee, snsd and vixx.
💖 the only yg artist to be attending any of the three is ikon for sbs. yg confirmed last week that big bang will not be attending any gayo as to "focus" on finishing their album (despite originally being unofficially confirmed for sbs' gayo), and psy has a packed schedule.

💖 for anyone curious about any other artist (or a few others, at least ones i've heard about):
* twice apparently has a schedule that conflicts with mbc's gayo.
* t-ara is going to be in china on new years so they'll only be able to attend sbs.
* victoria has a schedule in china on new years so she wouldn't be able to attend either kbs or sbs, and there's been no word as to whether or not f(x) will be attending any of the gayos to begin with.
* bts have a concert in japan the day prior to sbs' gayo which conflicts with attendance.
* beast is apparently going to be in thailand for the new year so they're not attending any.
* boa is currently promoting her new single in japan so she won't be attending any.
* apparently jyp originally mentioned that miss a would be attending a gayo but retracted and said they won't be attending any. suzy's also busy filming her drama at the moment.
* seventeen won't be attending kbs' gayo because of a conflicting concert schedule.
* hyeri confirmed at the start of the month that she'll be "opting out" of attending year end ceremonies to focus on filming reply 1988. therefore, girl's day will not be attending this year.
* soyou is still focusing on healing her back injury so sistar are opting out on attendance.

gayos are really nothing without the bigger names like boa and suju and big bang not attending (and dbsk/hyori even though they didn't promote this year lol)

sbs gayo is always my least favorite bc they suck at filming and editing but they have the best line up with t-ara, ikon and seventeen going. hopefully they don't put my bbs on the little side stage again like last year :/

Shinee will ease my pain, you know since I'm their personal garbage can, but I'm counting on BTOB, Infinite, and Got7 to fill the rest of the void for BigBang not being there. I was really looking forward to it, and I don't look forward to anything. This could probably be the last ones they attend as a group for a long time, even if the actual Made album doesn't come out until December 2016.

A little late commenting on this but does anyone know if the gayos air on Korean tv? I'm in Korea currently and I'd like to watch these live on TV...for example the SBS one says December 27th at 9:40pm KST, does that mean that at 9:40 on Sunday I should watch SBS channel for the gayo?
