Jo Seung Woo, Jo Jung Seok, Byun Yo Han, and Yoon Do Hyun cast in Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Yoon Do Hyun, Jo Seung Woo, Jo Jung Seok, Jung Moon Sung, and Byun Yo Han have been cast in the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

The production company Show Note has stated that the new version of the musical will return in 2016 with five Hedwigs.

The five actors, the former three have already shown their unique version of the role and the latter two fresh, surprise casting choices, have gathered to impress the audience who has been waiting for almost two years for the show to re-run.

The role of Yitzhak, who will join the five Hedwigs, have gone to Seomoon Tak, one of the best female rocker; and Im Jin Ah and Jay Min, who have competed 80:1 for the role. In addition, all members of YB Band will join the original Angry Inch Band to shake the hearts of both the fans of Hedwig and rock music.

The musical's opening night will be on March 1, 2016 in Hongdae Art Center Theater, with a brand new stage sets, arrangement, and direction.

yikes I know Byun Yo Han loves love loves Hedwig and he's got a decent voice but I don't know if he's gonna have the stage presence nor the power to pull of Hedwig. Then again, it's his dream role and if the opportunity arises, I guess you should grasp it?

*cries* Guess that means more waiting for Jo Seung Woo coming back to dramaland ... But then he does love doing musicals and he's an awesome Hedwig! If only I could see him live just once (and Jo Jung Seok too)...*heavy sigh*

OP, I'm just as worried as you. I do think he'd have the stage presence, but (as much as that pains me to say) I don't know if he's good enough of a singer for it? I mean, I haven't seen/listened to the musical yet for a couple of reasons - so it's more rock?? B/c I can't quite imagine him doing an actual ~musical~ song. I mean, I love hearing him sing but that's b/c I stan for him ... Idk about his objective skill.

But if he loves it that much, then this is a great chance for him. If I could I'd wanna watch it anyways, no matter how suited for the role he is.

(PS: I'm also still reeling from that picture of him and Song Min-ho in one room ... was that a Freiknock get-together? Do we know?)

he just has his huge crew and it's expanding with connections haha idk, i thought maybe it was suho who might be close to song minho and brought him over, but i don't know enough about people in that group.
apparently they were gathered for a friend's birthday, byun yo han always chills with his actor friends?

apparently hedwig requires more acting skills that singing but like, him rocking karaoke every other day is wholly different from doing it on stage... and he still has sfd shoots during the rehearsals. idk, i know he'll try his best i just don't want him to end up like kim yoona with rebecca.

Suho and Min-ho? Somehow I can't really picture that. Might be, but I was thinking that maybe the Min-ho connection would come via the Freiknock guy; since he wears that stuff quite a bit, too.

Yeah, that's what I mean. He's a great karaoke singer b/c he puts his heart into it, but doing it one stage ... hm. And SFD must be exhausting, especially considering that his role is so physical. Let's hope for the best!
