Chanyeol is marketable and DO has been constantly busy filming his movies this year. Acting, especially in films, is like the crème de la crème of solo activities.

I mean, every fan worries about their biases not receiving as much attention as they would like, but DO is one of the busiest members with big projects so I'm not sure I agree with your concern. He's probably one of the members who fandom can worry about the least in regards to all that. Look at Sehun and Kai, who haven't had particularly notable solo activities at all yet.

He and Yeol basically have the same amount of solo activities in the past couple of years tho? he's almost been working 24/7, it's just his dramas didn't make it big and his new movies aren't out yet, he's still filming,, he barely makes it to their comeback stages and then leaves right after. if he keeps at it then it won't be long before everybody knows who he is imo.

I'm still trying to get over Hyukoh tied with Bora, and that she's considered an artist. No offense to Bora fans, but her entire solo career is on variety shows.

Really? Hyukoh apart from Infinity Challenge didn't have that much promotion to the general public and that's what makes people take interest if they don't know you at all. I'm kind of proud of them even being there if only for the value of their music. And I would say being in variety shows is considered a career for idols. I feel like a lot of kpop's idols don't want their career be centered in the music industry more than the show business.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not looking down on idols who are making their careers on variety shows. It just makes her a really good guest/entertainer, not a musical artist. I'm just caught up in the semantics. And that's usually the case with idols. I have nothing against idols who are more entertainment oriented. They gotta hustle like the rest of them.

However, if it's really based on being an artist, Bora hasn't release any songs solely under her name. She was in a subunit with Hyorin but that's it. I guess this is just base on popularity after all. So my mistake for thinking that it's based on artistry.

0,1 it's a like the diference between promoting activily on tv (thing she did last year when she got first place) and just release an ost without any promotions (this year she guested only on infinity challenge... even hyukoh did more variety than her)
