DIA’s Chaeyeon and Cathy Leave Group Temporarily to Join Mnet’s “Produce 101″

DIA‘s Chaeyeon and Cathy shocked the fans on December 17, as they were included in the Produce 101 group’s debut stage on “M!Countdown.”

According to MBK Entertainment on December 17, the two will leave the team for the time being, to try their luck with “Produce 101.” The two have approached the management agency about this, and after an extensive discussion, the two have left DIA while “Produce 101″ is ongoing. This fact was announced on the team’s Twitter account as well.

As for DIA, the team will continue the promotional activities as a five-member group for the next while.

even before this mess of a show started i thought that girls could participate anyway and then go back to their originally intended groups in their agencies? this is so confusing and mbk is a god damn mess omg i thought that when they changed ceos it would be better but nah

also this is unrelated but i felt so bad for t-ara this week. they got pretty much roasted on chinese tv and eunjung cried. fuck mbk, free all of their artists!!!!

i saw something about that, didn't they make it into the show? mbk is so bad i feel sorry for shannon and all those other kids. i feel like they'll never get famous under this agency.

yeah exactly thats what i dont understand. maybe this show might last long and they dont wanna leave dia in the dungeon for so long in case cathy and chaeyeon dont make it? although i think they might and i swear mbk and mnet have connections? which is why i think it might be their ~master plan~ (tbh i know its not but its my wishful thinking because i dont want these girls to suffer like all the other mbk groups)

yeah they did make it to another round/the festival where like 100 million people will watch them but it was cruel to watch. the judges were really honest and said nothing but the truth but the girls were put on a spot and its due to mbks shitty management ugh then eunjung cried and the whole time she looked like she was gonna burst into tears

they wont get popular but kks is loaded + t-ara is still doing ok which is whats keeping them afloat. they debuted a new boy duo which no one gave a fuck about and there was legit 0 promo and all the speed stans think speed is going to disband because they keep posting sad notes on social media. mbk is a mess im actually livid ugh

i'm sure dia wouldn't be accomplishing much anyway while the show is running like they can afford to take a break, also didn't they promote two songs already? it's not like they're at risk of the public forgetting about them..

i was into shannon for like 5 seconds when she was her on my neighbour charles but when i saw the state of that company and her debut mv i peaced out so fast. how can a company have that many group shuffles/demotions/quits, it's crazy

yeah thats true lol its weird because they have activities but they're not actually being promoted? its as if mbk assumes they have massive group of stans that will buy anything of dia's. they actually were suppose to debut with two tracks, one being their sexy side so idk what happened to that

i posted a link below if you wanna check it out and same, i kind of like why why by shannon but it was too creepy for me (her twirling her lower body against a guy... no thanks). she legit could be iu 2.0 or at least semi popular soloist but the agency just sucks :/ their biggest problem is that kks is too cocky and assumes/demands the idols to have stans immediately with no promo so he can save $$$ and if u dont then its adios.

its a quite long video but this is what im talking about
maybe im being over dramatic but it was painful for me and i felt bad for her :( mbk did their shitty predictable ~we're so famous so we're just gonna perform in korean who cares that we're not in korea~ and this is for the girls to get into the spring festival which is super famous (it was kinda like an audition) and got roasted for performing only in korean, not speaking in chinese etc they basically gave them a 101 on how to gain popularity and how they should be promoted which is embarrassing tbh so she had to speak in chinese on the spot and she looked so nervious and then they told them to sing in chinese so ofc they sang little apple but then got roasted even more with things like it still had korean, it takes much more than just singing a viral song etc but they passed at least :/

After your comment I was prepared for the worst but while it was hard to watch in a couple of moments, it was not as bad as I expected. I'm glad Eunjung throw herself to speak in chinese, but doing that bit of Little Apple was kind of awkward. At the end it looked like she was crying in a mixture of nervousness and happines for passing. She reminded me to myself because I always cry of "frustation" when someone points out my flaws/fails (if they are true) hahaha. I hope for the next time the company is more careful of what they gave them to do and not only rely in their popularity. If they are not even going to try to make the girls big again in Korea, they should make better decisions for their progress in China where they can have a future U_U

yeah i was being ott lol the whole time i was just embarrassed and sad for them because all the advice was fair but its something that your management should be figuring out and fixing it asap/working towards fixing it, not people on broadcast telling you lol it just made mbk look bad as a company if anything and thats super embarrassing. like what happened to their chinese debut? i hope this 1,2,3 is being saved for this spring festival and slays afterwards otherwise idk what mbk is thinking. yeah she did cry because she was relieved but throughout her lips were kind of trembling as if she was about to cry. she did well tho and should be super proud. ia with what you said, they should promo them as they did at the start of their careers so they can get popular in china. i still have a bit of faith in korea loving them again though

my heart broke watching that yesterday you are not alone. i mean the judges did have some VERY valid points but the girls getting roasted wasn't really their fault, and moreso their company. like mbk has been putting the effort into getting t-ara schedules in china and they are touring and getting known, but it's not enough at this point. they are relying on the korean t-ara popularity and making false promises. like the girls' chinese is improving but not fast enough and they've been promoting there for over a year now and their chinese album still hasn't been released? mbk is snoozing on that one tbh, they said it would be done in 2015 and yet? not one single chinese song aside from their little apple remix mashup. it's so frustrating bc they really, really, really have the potential to become MASSIVE in china and mbk is getting these great ops but squandering them from reaching that level. one of the reasons they did so great in japan is because the girls would stay there for such long periods and adapted to the language as a result and released japanese music steadily...i don't get why mbk has decided to stall their chinese releases and just have them tour with only their korean songs.

They ruined T-ara's Korean career with their shitty handling of that scandal, and continue to ruin them with flaw-filled decisions. anyone who follows mbk knows that these announcements get made with 0 input from the girls. management probably just told them they were going on this show whether they like it or not. i cant imagine theyre happy to be leaving group activities so they can compete with literally 100 other girls for a couple seconds screentime

omg i just remembered, dia were suppose to be formed on a survival program on mnet kind of like twice but it was pulled last minute...

maybe this is them going back to their original plan?
