Sorry, it took me so long to make the post this time ... damn finals. -.-
Anyways, how many times per episode do you almost feel like crying? The end of episode 20 got me good. This show is so outstanding, I really recommend it to everyone.

gil tae mi's make up was on point until the moment of his death. i like. that part about him warning the soldiers that he's gonna kill off everyone if he messes up his eye make up was hilarious as well.

i was annoyed with how the writers and the director portrayed his last moments though - he's been sort of the comic relief for awhile that i guess the writers realized he wasn't painted as evil as the other guys so him killing off the innocents just to get his breakfast looked rushed and out of nowhere. maybe the director should've shown the civilians recognizing him wanted for treachery and hence his killing spree but him nonchalantly eating his breakfast with dead people around him was very ooc.

i also didn't like that the battle between gil tae mi and bang ji is supposed to be the grand title match where bang ji becomes the three korea's master swordsman but the focus was too heavy on gil tae mi and bang ji ended up looking like the bad guy for killing him off. but the action scene between the two was shot nicely. i like when bang ji uses his sword.

yes I wish they'd given us more info about why he killed the people who ran the restaurant, doesn't seem to be his style to just randomly slaughter people in the street

The idea that he killed all of those people just for his breakfast was too abrupt for me too and it was never explained but I think the writers realized that he was too likeable so they had to remind us that he's been killing people all along to the point that he can eat amongst the dead bodies with not a care in the world. Still, there must be a less abrupt way to show that...

I'm more interested about what further parts his twin brother will play in this drama but that's mostly because I want to see the actor more teehee

Eh i dunno. At first I thought him killing "innocents" was kind of ooc/crossing a line too, but the more I thought about it the more this scene seemed necessary. Tae Mi was indeed a bit of comic relief, but he's also shown multiple times that he's pretty cavalier about killing people when they get in the way. he often makes offhand comments like "why not just kill them all" etc. The only thing with him is that we never personally see him doing the killing. When it came to villagers/innocents he always send someone else to do his dirty work, but his plans to further himself and his beloved in-law got a lot of innocent people killed. So this scene, imo, was pretty crucial for viewers to see what kind of person he actually is underneath all the silliness.

that's my point, despite his evil-ness that's been hinted we weren't actually shown how evil he was - to put it moments before death seemed haphazard and just looked like the writers thought of it at the last moment, like oops we forgot to actually show you how evil he was, let me show you that right now, and here we go let's kill him!

Idk I don't think it was completely out of character for him - wasn't there a rumor that GTM had murdered other innocent ppl before. I don't even remember what the story was. They never showed it to the audience but it was part of his characters back story

mmhmm that's my point, they needed to have shown it earlier and build up his evil side earlier so it didn't look so sudden and out of place - he just got so popular that people forgot he's actually not a nice person.

so far this show is amazing, waiting every week kills me

Going to miss my fave villain Gil Taemi.

Finally Moohyul is losing his innocence and showing some character growth

Boonyi vs. Min Da Kyung, I guess this conflict is inevitable but I hope they make it more interesting than the usual Queen vs. Concubine pettiness

I like both Boonyi and Min Da Kyung too so I'm also hoping for the best because both characters are capable and super smart. Tbh I like both of them more than Lee Bang Won but that's no doubt because I know what he's going to become.

There are a lot of strong female characters and I want them to stay that way and become the typical cat fight

This show is greatness...how do they make known history so suspenseful lol

I was also surprised by him killing the family BUT he was fighting toward his death and he did kill lots of people so I accepted it

This show has me on the edge of my seat I AM ALIVE
Yo Gil Tae Mi's eyeshadow was on fleek right up until he died. Like teach me your ways man. Meanwhile Moo Hyul had me cracking up because he wanted to be the one to kill him but Lee Bang Ji killed him first. Don't worry Moo Hyul soon you will rise!

Anyway, I made my brother watch this fight scene cause he likes martial arts and then we had a long philosophical discussion regarding what Gil Tae Mi was saying which basically ended with well yeah, he's right, that's human nature and people suck.

you absolutely should check it out. It has a very slow start but by episode 4 I was hooked! Also, Yoo Ah In and Byun Yo Han are putting in some excellent performances.

The character development of Lee Bang Won in this drama is fascinating to me because it will make it all the more disappointing when he changes for the worst. Although it's not really a change per se as we've been getting hints all along...
Yoo Ah In is sooo good as Lee Bang Won. Almost as good as Byun Yohan as Lee Bang Ji (I almost cried when he sang ok)

and so i've been putting this off, as i hate waiting for the end...

but i mean it's yoo ah in, and whoever that guy is is rocking that eyeliner + crease line combo, so now i have to start to watch.

I didn't expect to like this so much, but this show is fire so far. I was so excited when all the dragons finally met. Tho I think Yeon Hee got shafted lol. She should definitely be a dragon too.

I was actually so upset about Gil Tae Mi lol. I've never liked a villain so much and I was so sad to see him go.

The General is kind of annoying me with his inaction until things become so dire that he has no choice basically. Everything that happened in episode 20 could've been avoided if he hadn't been such an idiot.

I'm curious to see what happens next.

I'm so into this show! It took me a little bit (seriously, the pig thing was unnecessary) but once they kids grew up things really started to take off. It just keeps getting better and it's not even half way - so excited!

I love the show but I still can't believe they did the child rape scene. And with Park Nam Jung's daughter. I loved her when she was on Happy Together so when I saw that episode I was even more upset. The show runners are all about sensationalism with this show, what with the pigs and then the rape.

But Yoo Ah In is doing great. I've only ever seen him in Sungkyunkwan Scandal but obv he has been getting so much praise so I should've expected it. I much rather prefer Byun Yo Han in dramatic roles vs his Ex Girlfriends Club role even if he's good at being a cutie pie. And Shin Se Kyung! I've always liked her even tho her acting is usually really wooden. I think she fits this role really well tho for sure. And Gong Seung Yeon is fab too
