My heart aches for Junghwan but I'm so glad they developed Dongryong a bit. Also am I the only one who thinks Jungbong is cute??? Like everyone's been sleeping on him until now, Man Ok knows.

I was literally ready for less Sunwoo x Bora at the beginning of ep 10 but by the end they were so cute!!! I'm glad they didn't drag it out longer. YES, that umbrella scene, he looked so cute with his hair all wet.

lmao i literally just finished watching ep 10 (speaking of how good was the transition of lee moonsae's girl to oh hyuk's cover??)

#teamjunghwan forever and ever. taek is cute and all but i don't particularly care about him. i like dongryong more than him lmao (his arc was pretty sad). honestly, deoksun mothers him too much. i don't think she sees him as a man at all. then again you could say this about all of the boys at the beginning of the series but at the same time she acts like a surrogate mother or older sister to him. taek doesn't interact with anyone else outside of their circle and deoksun is the only girl. it's pretty obvious he'd develop feelings for her. also park bogum's line delivery bothers me idk why.

meanwhile junghwan is such a marshmallow lmao, and ryu junyeol and hyeri have so much chemistry. i thought he'd kiss her in ep 10. ugh but he cares about taek a lot he'll probably try to get over her now that he knows taek likes her ;___; time for some angst i guess

oh and i love bora so much. the actress is super cute too. but of jinju is the cutest

the shipping wars don't seem to be as bad as R1994 so far (fingers crossed) maybe cos i think it's impossible to hate either one of the potential husbands at this point. i mean when taek smiles i'm all aww bb and when junghwan does something sweet i'm all aww bb, so i'm just here for the ride <3 i really do hope no one gets chilbonged this time because the ending they gave him was so crappy *fumes*

i'm loving this storyline mainly because of the relationships between the families. one issue i have with kdramas is that no matter what the genre 99% of the time romance is the actual focus. so i like how so far the husband hunt doesn't take up ALL of the screentime. Mind you that's how R1994 started as well then it kind of drifted off into nowhere......

Sunwoo's mum and Taek's dad are so adorbs, I'm really hoping that Taek won't end up with Jin Joo because that's weird af to me because we see Jin joo as a child right now O.O

dong ryong FINALLY getting more screentime, i prefer his character to sunwoo's tbh. like taek his storyline will probably get fleshed out more in the coming episodes. OH I CAN'T WAIT TILL FRIDAY THIS IS TORTURE. His parents not even noticing that he ran away is really saddening, if i stay out all night without telling my parents i'd be dead cos they'll kill me.

i still can't really understand sunwoo's attraction to bora but to each his own i guess *shrugs* most people didn't like how sunwoo asks bora's permission to kiss her, but i did. i'm not a fan how the male lead catches the female off guard and always results in fish eyes.

i'm such a huge fan of park bogum ever since Naeil Cantabile (it took a lot of effort to watch the drama for me but i did it because of him) and I'm so glad they gave him more scenes from episode 3 onwards because HIS.TALENT. His range of emotions are amazing. The way he looked at his dad and told him he nearly became an orphan..... /dead. Just one look at his eyes and you know what emotion he's conveying to the audience. Not to mention the actor is such a cutie haha, did anyone see the BTS where he was having a mental breakdown with all the cursing? Plus he and hyeri are so cuteeeee together, it's giving me cavities.

JUNG HWAN THOUGH. I'm so glad he told her "don't do it" because i was 99.99999% sure he was going to play it off to hide his feelings in his usual tsundere way. And the scene where he grabbed her cheeks and told her to think about why he came all the way to Gangnam was so swoonworthy *_________________*

oh god i'm supposed to be finishing an assignment worth 40% by tomorrow and here i am writing an essay about all my feels for this drama what is life even.

my biggest problem with Sunwoo/Bora is that like...she's not even nice to his family??? I don't understand how he can be a family man and there is Bora ruining christmas for Jinjoo and Bora yelling at Sunwoo's mom like...this is why nice guys finish last.

ia. that is my issue with sunwoo + bora. I thought he was being unnecessarily and inappropriately forceful with her. I like both characters, but the way sunwoo didn't give her space bugged me.

I agree OP, this is the best out of the three--there's just so much story to be fleshed out with the neighbors that I appreciate it more so than the other two.

That said, I do wish they wouldn't play with the viewers' hearts. I love both Junghwan and Taek and trying to pick which heartbreak would be less painful for me is such a tough decision to make. I do believe (about 99%???) that Junghwan's the husband--and I was rooting for him since episode 1 (that smirk!), but then they added Taek into the husband game and now I'm so confused. I love Taek's determination to go for what he wants--he doesn't hem and haw, he says it as it is. AND PARK BOGUM'S SMILE KILLS OKAY IT KILLS. But then JUNGHWAN and his cute kittiness and trying to act cool and tough but is such a marshmallow inside. GUH.

Ok, but that 'plot twist' of Sunwoo's mom and Taek's dad being childhood friends!!!!! That scene in the hospital had me in tearsss. I thought he wasn't that close with any of the neighbours. I love how this shows pull these background stories out and it doesn't seem unbelievable or random. I was so shipping them since the beginning and now they have a history and are besties?? Sign me up.

Also I was SO convinced they were going to kill off Jung Bong. Thank God he's alive!!

I'm conflicted about the main love triangle because gahh taek needs love and seeing him wreck with a broken heart will kill me, but junghwan. my god junghwan, the swoon T_T plus I'm a sucker for guys who go out of there way to do nice things for the person they like without taking any credit.
hyeri and park bogum irl would be super adorable though, their bts interactions are so flirty and they have a lot of chemistry together

I like it, it's still nice drama, especially all the parents/adults arcs, but for fucks sake - for the third time it's the supposedly dumb girl + smarter/"better" guys around. Like would it really hurt to change that trope? Like I know that Aras's character in 94' some kind of was IT student and all, but she was still painted as not that bright one. Like what is it here&in many other korean dramas to make girl super incompetent...

I hate this romcom trope too but I think what's different with Deoksun is that despite her not being the smartest she works hard, is very nice, is a very earnest and supportive person. She has personality traits beyond omg she's so goofy, I haven't seen 1994 but in 1997 it was very clear that Eunji's character was just a girl who doesn't focus bc she's distracted by kpop? She wasn't necessarily dumb or helpless imo.

I adore JungHwan and how adorable dumb he is whenever she's around. I'm into it. I'm also so glad we're getting more development with the parents and with DR. I'm not sure why the show played his situation with his parents for laughs, when it was pretty heartbreaking.

I love Bo Ra and Sun Woo. Episode 10 was all kinds of cute. I understand people's dislike of Bora, but the writing with her has gotten better and I think she and Sun Woo are adorable together.

Bora has gotten better with the added character development, before we just saw her being rude and violent. Now we know about her protesting for democracy, being a good Noona after her grandma died, taking Sunwoo's mom to the hospital, and also about her asshole ex boyfriend

I marathoned up to the current episode this past weekend. I'm 1000% #teamtaek! It's doesn't make sense, but I feel it in my bones!!!

I chose withing the first 10 minutes. And then I was sure after she said she can't remember how she met her husband, she would have said it's impossible for her to know if it had been 1 of the other 3.

I agree OP, my fave Reply so far. As lo as they're not being annoying with who's the husband game. But they're being smart by involving a community instead of just a household. A reallygood way to fill that 1.5+hr duration without dragging the story too much.

I'm happy that dongryong got a story this time. FINALLY. And saddened by his family reaction. But hoping he gets more later. Also hoping to see more jungbong and maggie chung.

Idrc with they husband hunting plot so lets just focus on the family/friendship angle, thats what reply series best at capturing.
Anyway still #teamjunghwan. Doksun scene with taek full of cute and rainbow while with jinhwan sparks fly too hot im fanning myself. The alley scene was the bomb. Im still not over it!
