gaeun and jiyul to leave dal☆shabet

according to letters posted on their official fancafe (that were then uploaded to idol world because the fan cafe is member locked, ect.), handwritten by both of the members, dal☆shabet's gaeun and jiyul have decided to leave the group. (a link to both of the untralsated letters can be found here) there isn't a full translation yet but, according to this rough one: gaeun is leaving to pursue studying fashion and jiyeon is leaving to focus on acting / other activities. with their withdrawal this will be the first time that a member has left the group since mid-2012 when original leader / member viki left to pursue a career in acting (with current member woohee being added in her replacement). it hasn't been said whether or not the group will continue on with the remaining members (serri, ah young, woohee, subin) solely or if they'll be adding new ones in. it's being speculated that the members wanted to inform their fans / members of their fancafe of their decision to leave before the official announcement comes out.

edit: like right after this got accepted an article from naver popped up and confirmed them leaving (and that they're leaving with contract expiration which implies the other members resigned theirs) / said dal★shabet is having a comeback in early 2016 (possibly january) and continuing on without adding new members.

Oh, it's a bittersweet news. I hope they'll find happiness in these different paths. At least there's no messy ending with not resigning your contract.
I'm impressed that Dal Shabet has been able to go this far despite being quite nugus. BBB was a jam, Joker had nice tracks on the mini, I hope that the next comeback will be solid and will get them some attention.

i've liked them since debut, and they honestly deserve so much better esp after having released consistently great songs since viki left with them finally being involved in the production process recently. hopefully the others won't lose hope and can carry on with group promos bc they never disappoint, and i wish jiyul & kaeun the best with whatever they choose to do next.

Nooo, I'm so sad :( I love this group, keep hoping they will finally catch some well deserved buzz. But I can't blame them for leaving and going their own way. Glad that the group isn't disbanding, although i won't totally believe it until I see it. Wish them both the best.

Aw. I am just glad Dal Shabet will be able to have another comeback. I wonder who will do rapping now? I like their comeback songs. If only Minx can not get their leftover songs, because their first song was great, just did not even go anywhere.

I'm glad I got to see them a few months ago. who's going to take over Gaeun's iconic fast talk-singing in BBB?! and Jiyul is suuuuuuuuch a sweetheart (and main spokesperson overseas).. I'll miss them, but I'm glad they're exploring other areas of interest too. Gaeun's fashionista aspirations have been obvious, and I hope Jiyul will do well in acting ♥

Oh, Viki went to pursue acting? I just remember the report saying she left (some saying she wasn't pleased with the progress of the group), the last article about her was her being a news (or weather) reporter for a channel.
Jiyul landed an acting role or 2 a while ago, so she may have chance.

Dal Shabet had a great debut, then they got quiet and there was some fanwar with B1A4 fans :(
Regardless, I look forward to their comeback, Joker was a hit.
