Introducing our Serein skincare collection. Discover for yourself our line of hydrating, brightening and firming products. There's something for everyone.
Except they're not. 27 Dollar for a 80ml mist or 50 Dollar for a 50 ml moisturiser are not really uncommon in Korea or Japan. There are brands, which are far more expensive.
I was just looking for eye creams at pharmacy shops here and I remember one La Roche Posay one costing like 20 euros. who tf thought pricing her no name eye cream @ 50$ was a good idea? like this is different from overpriced clothes, ppl are gonna be more careful with the stuff they put on their faces...
La Roche Posay is sh't though. xd Sorry, put I used their moisturiser and eye cream once and both gave me a terrible rash. They also use very bad ingredients.
I wish she'd started out with cosmetics rather than skincare. Honestly, if I'm paying those kinds of prices, I want an established, well-reviewed brand backing up what's going on my face - and brands like CosRX are proof that you don't need to pay 60.00 for a night cream in order to see amazing results. (I also wish her site had a function to allow questions regarding the products, like many beauty e-retailers do, because i see no mention of a pH for the facewash and I'm curious to know where it falls.)
That said, while I've pretty much planned out the next several months of product testing in my routines, I'll happily pick up the lip balm or one of the masks if this line ever ends up being available somewhere w lower shipping prices.
Slight side-eye at them prices - halve them and then I'll bite. (Sorry, I'm spoiled by CosRX, and to a lesser extent Enprani and Banila, in terms of affordable fun and effective skincare.)
On the bright side, the ingredients look to be decent quality (that is a really good list on that cream) and the packaging is pretty I guess?
I'm easily tempted by anything hanbang or elegant, so I never expected to fall in love with CosRX like I have, but I swear half my vanity has somehow ended up being just their products? I really, really appreciate their priceline, because it means I actually have the money leftover to indulge in maybe one or two History of Whoo or Sulwhasoo product ToT
Creams looks decent, but rest have an alcohol denatured too high on ingredients list for my liking, and prices are bit turn off for no name brand when you can get really good stuff half that price. I wonder if she plan to promote her line in Korea.
I'n excited to try the line, would like some samples. Admittedly there's some ingredients I've never heard of before but I think the masks seem like a safe place to start.
why do people say the ingredients are good, they're actually.... not that good. the cleansing foam includes fragrance & perfum, who needs that shit in a cleansing foam. disodium edta needs to go away as well. the daycream includes dimethicones, i hate that shit. again, fragrance & perfum, ew ew ew. the list goes on and on... oh, and the products include palmoil - enough said.
i especially don't get why so many skincare products continue to have perfume in them, imo there's nothing more off-putting than applying a strongly scented product onto your face
lol every time there's a skincare post, it makes me feel insecure about mine bc i think it's probably too simple. i'm only using hadalabo (and currently bc a store accidentally sent me vegetable glycerin+rose water) for toner and grape seed/sunflower seed for moisturizer. and i know my skin is not perfect. i have small pimples, i can see my pores and dry patches, but i'm under the impression that even much more expensive products probably won't my skin flawless if it's naturally not lol idk tell me i'm wrong?
Honestly, everyone's skin is different, so everyone's skill will require different things and react differently to products and routines. I've kind of spent the past year changing my mindset from "What miracle product do I need to find in order to have flawless, poreless, photoshopped-esque skin" to "What are the best practices, ingredients, and products that will keep my skin in its healthiest state" I still have breakouts and I still struggle with scarring and the size of my pores, but overall, I'm in a much better, much healthier place when it comes to my skin - both physically and mentally. One thing I will say is that properly hydrating my skin has done wonders. I've completely dropped carbonated drinks and milk from my diet, and I drink at least two full liters of water a day, in addition to layering moisturizing toners, essences, ampoules, and creams in my routines, and there's been a very visible change in my skin's tone thanks to that.
i honestly don't believe in whitening in skin care products. if anything it's probably makes your skin less dull so it appears brighter, like when i just wash my face i think it's "whiter" when it's actually just cleaner, it's not oily, etc. idk if that makes sense.
although, and i just remember this, i saw someone posted her skin care routine using grapeseed oil and how it lightened her under eye circle, so maybe it works like that. i also read sunflower seed oil do the same. but i've used both and i don't think it work for me lol.
prices are not too bad. but if im going to spend that much, i rather buy a more well known brand.
can someone recommend me a moisturiser that's paraben free and under $30? preferably something with whitening . im currently using innisfree green tea one, but want to try something new.
I'm really enjoying Scinic's Aqua White cream right now - niacinamide 5th on the list, and I've noticed my PIH is fading faster so it's living up to the name.
And I know this isn't that expensive, there are brands more expensive blah blah blah, but this brand is literally unknown. There are so many good Korean products for cheaper. Like girl you ain't Charlotte tilbery
I wish she had a more identifiable packaging. Still, best of luck that this stuff is good.
Also, these prices make perfect sense for the consumers she wants. Remember guys, it's a luxury brand. Anybody who can afford her other stuff can surely afford this stuff.
I mean lbr she is milking her fanbase, even luxury brands start somewhere and their prices were gradually raised. Or maybe having some introductory prices to lure people into buying them, idk as of now I haven't seen a real sales strategy from her brand, they are just relying on her fans and that's it.
For $50-$60 moisturizer cream I would expect them to have the active ingredients start somewhere higher in the list. Too many texturizing silicone derivatives too high on the list imo.
I placed an order for the lip balm and mist, only because I think they are reasonable enough prices for a supposedly high end unknown brand, and also because the rest of their skincare is targeted to normal/dry skin which i'm not.
Shipping isn't too bad, $15 for purchases under $100, and it gives the option for packaging in English. Hopefully they'll be good!
I don't like buying skincare from a brand that also sell other stuff that have nothing to do with it like clothes. I think I have trust issues ? I'm ok with clothes brands selling makeup (it's still part of the fashion business after all) but skincare is really something else. That's all in my head of course because it doesn't mean said brand doesn't have super talented skin specialists to make wonderful formulas for their creams, obviously. I mean, high end brands like Chanel or Lancôme offer bags and clothes and makeup and perfume and skincare but... I just don't like that ahah
ia, but even diving into make up is not a good look for a brand that's supposed to have a luxurious image. when i think of clothing brands that sell make up i think of cheap/teenage brands like forever 21 and h&m. i honestly dont know of any luxurious clothing brand that also selling skin care and make up products other than chanel. her team is really dumb. go into watches or something that makes sense.
how good could these products be when she has been releasing new lines every month like.... idk shouldnt you try to develop your name with a main line and then go into cosmetics?? can someone even name a luxurious clothing/accessory line ((besides chanel)) that went into cosmetics cause im drawing a blanc. the more she dives into new lines the more she's making her name seem less luxurious. she needs to chill a bit, i know u want money fast sis but....
+1 she needs to chill, she's running her brand into the ground plus when is she going to use a model that isn't herself?!?! can't she use one of her friends like Goo Hara or hire some models to promote her brand?
It's not cheap, but some people are willing to pay more for skincare than makeup or clothes and go crazy over luxury sk-ii or sulwhasoo. these prices are a bit more than the avg mid end brand. Also, fragrance and well foaming cleansers are advised against but the market is saturated with these because they receive greater customer satisfaction unfortunately.
I'm too much of a cheapo for these though. And the little symbol looks like a website loading sign lol.
she should really start sponsoring youtubers now or she will never be successful honestly, im really rooting for sica, go girl and live your dream, but from the outside it looks like her brand is really mismanaged.
