I've always thought N looked really skinny in comparison to the others. He really has a modern/contemporary dancer kind of body. He looks a bit waif like and elongated but still has a strength to his moves, you know?
Typical shoulder gangster. My husband is 5'10" and looks bigger/taller because he has super broad shoulders. My younger son does too and he looks a good six months older than he is because he looks big.
He is! He has done a lot of solo dance performances, especially his famous blind fold dance. My favourite is this though, because you can see his mastery in precision and isolation. Clean, nimble yet the right force.
probably my favorite part about VIXX's choreographies is how heavy on performance they are! they aren't as clean and perfect as infinite or bangtan, but they sacrifice that in the name of good formations and overall experimentation - it's really hard to arrange six people in a way that doesn't look weird and misshapen, but they make that work for them by deliberately not being too perfect. the cyborg run, the voodoo doll shamble, the hyde headbop... none of them are perfectly matched up and synced. what you get instead is the really weird shit: ravi's coffin raise in on and on, the cyborg cocoon, the opening of the gates at the very beginning of hyde, and of course, every stab in voodoo doll. vixx are theatrical and off kilter and focus the polish of the performance somewhere besides how perfectly aligned their angles are. i love them for that!
this performance is no exception - have you guys noticed that whenever they imply that only one member of the team has power, it's always someone in the maknae line? n, leo, and ken never hold the "chains" or the "whips", it's always the younger three! if that was a deliberate power play, it ties into the themes they were going for. they always do shit like that, it's so interesting...!
i don't love every aspect of this performance but at this point i'm content with focusing on the positives. they FINALLY have a dance where they don't line up awkwardly and pose and i'm super happy with that even though vixx posing awkwardly is sort of their thing lol
I'm in love with this choreo. Like, it's so sexy without them having to thrust their crotches in peoples faces. The move at 2:20 is the literal best and the way Leo sinks to his knees one at a time just blows my mind. I wish they had the back lights on tho, just so everything was clearer to see
i was going to say that gif is my fav part of the choreo! but then i realized...nope, the entire choreo is bless this group, bless their choreo team, bless this song, amen and hallelujah
