2NE1’s CL revealed her first beauty pictorial since her debut.

Fashion magazine Elle met up with Maybelline’s official model CL for an interview and photo shoot.

Though this is CL’s first beauty pictorial, she said she is a perfectionist in her makeup as much as she is in her music. After checking her skin foundation, contouring, and eyebrows, CL gave a few tips on her smoky eyes, which is her most notable trademark, during an interview with Elle.

“I first shape the line with Maybelline’s Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner, then use a brown color to fill it in for the detail, giving it more dimension,” she said.

She also revealed her surprisingly extensive knowledge in beauty facts and know-hows.

“Not once have I thought I’m not feminine,” she said.

She also added that she takes strict care of her hair since she has kept it dyed since elementary school. Being the beauty icon she is, she uses treatments when at home and takes care of her scalp.

Earlier this year, CL attended the 100th anniversary party for Maybelline in May. She also became the center of attention when she featured in DJ Diplo’s album while preparing for her U.S. debut. She has finally released her new song “HELLO BITCHES” on November 21 and is living up to her fans’ expectations as a global musician.
