Synopsis

Is there more to school than just grades? Kang Yeon Doo (Jung Eun Ji) is a peppy cheerleader who is popular at school because of her sunny personality. But when she transfers to an elite high school where grades and school rankings are stressed, she feels like an outcast because of her less-than-stellar grades. She also clashes with Kim Yeol (Lee Won Geun), a student who seems to have it all with great looks and great grades. Fellow cheerleader Seo Ha Joon (Ji Soo) also feels the pressures to do well academically but also harbors a family secret that detracts from his focus. Kwon Soo Ah (Chae Soo Bin) is pushed into cheerleading by her mother to boost her resume, but she realizes that she has a talent for it. All the students have to try to measure up to the school brainiac, Ha Dong Jae (Cha Hak Yeon). Can Yeon Doo survive in such a high-pressure environment? “Sassy Go Go” is a 2015 South Korean drama series directed by Lee Eun Jin.

so, they really just bom the end, the parents are end game, good, the kids we dont know, weird. yi soo is like no more dad!!! And the father is like okay, the suck a cheerleading but no problem. I guess live is like that we make big deal of things the are no really big. I did like the drama.

The last two episodes were cute and heartfelt but lacked in some way, too. They obviously pushed too much plot points and tried to resolve everything in these two episodes. My favorite part was Ha Joon's confession with the gummy bears. Creating this conflict between Ha Joon and Yeol was kind of unnecessary. How they solved issue with Yeol and Yeon Doo's parents was lame, but works I guess? So Yeol will just change his family registry and name. Technically Yeol and Yeon Doo could date, even if their parents are married.

Happy Soo Ah is so cute and I was glad that we got a glimpse of a female friendship, but the transition from being a sceming douchebag to cheery school girl went too quick. They should have started this earlier and spent more time on her development.

I liked how the two groups came together and made one super squad and each character was unique and had his/her own story, which I wished we could have seen.

Overall I really liked the drama, despite the obvious flaws. The cast makes up for the flaws.

Cute drama but felt rushed at the end. Ji Soo and the gummy bears were cute. I was waiting for the gummy bears to accidentally kiss.

Adored this drama. It's probably in my top 5 of the year. It did have some issues, but for a broadcast network drama, it was beyond what I expected. I loved the parents, but hated that they didn't tell their kids that they were that serious. I ADORED Ha Joon, but that mainly has to do with Ji Soo being amazing.

My favorite part was the bromance. I felt like their bond was stronger than family, but as fragile as fine china. And we saw that. Ha Joon and Kim Yeol being together as one limited themselves. It was lovely seeing them open up to feelings from others and still be friends in the end.

I thought 12 eps was great and that 16 would have dragged. I did miss seeing a lot of Kim Ji Suk. It was like they gave him all these eps and then pulled him out of a few. GIVE THAT MAN A LEAD ROLE NOW.

I didn't want that to happen with the parents. I know they can't help what they feel, but at the same time it's like her mom and his dad have been through the hardships in other relationships and at their age they finally found someone who was right for them. I'm glad things didn't end unfairly, though it was immature. If I had to do all of that just to date someone, I'd pass, lol. And it's no surprise they came in last at the competition, they only started practicing two months before. Cheerleading involves gymnastics and dance, it takes time. I'm shocked they got THAT far.

I pretty much died at Dong Jae and Yeol. They both were ridiculous and too cute during that part. Ha Joon's pain was too much, it was one thing after the next. I'm glad that he found his legs and was able to stand up to his father. Honestly, I would have found myself in trouble at the red bear/green bear thing, lmao.

SEO HA JOON AND KIM YEOL!!! *ugly sobbing* Their relationship was already too much to handle, but okay add the scene of them lying together on the stage just to wrench my heart some more.

Although there were way too many things happening in those last two episodes, the entire cast was too awesome. This gave me a bit of happiness and I'm sad to see it go.

i really liked the drama but when i think about it, the storyline felt just really pushed? when i think back about what i remember, it's mostly about kwon soo ah screaming and hating at people. i really liked the dark parts of the drama (the suicidal parts, soo ah trying to take her stress out on smoking) because it felt more realistic?

overall i think what made me like the drama was the characters/actors and not the story itself :(

BTW who is jisoo? i watched the drama on viki and there were so many comments about jisoo and idek who that guy is lol i feel like i'm missing something

lol! yes i knew that, what i meant was that i didn't get the hype because it felt like he was someone everyone knew about. so i was wondering if he was an idol or acted in a lot of dramas i had missed but i've noticed now it was his role in angry mom that made him popular

definitely one of my faves from this year. i agree with everyone that the main plot points were resolved too quickly, but other than that, just the relationships between all the characters were ultimately what made me fall in love with this drama. still think the parents' loveline was unnecessary but w/e we still get cute yeol and yeondoo. also ji soo forever has my heart now <3

Still one of the best dramas of this year, hands down. And def. one of the few where they actually worked out the ending decently - I LOVED how Yeol/Ha Joon dealt with it all and came out stronger than ever, how Yeol was never your typical kdrama asshole hero (flirting and being honest about liking a girl >>>>>>>> being a jerk to her for no reason), how the clubs bonded (you could even see the supporting characters starting to hang out/interact more in the background over several episodes), and how Yeon Doo was no Candy, just a kid who wanted some space to breathe for a bit. And the end was fast, but I thought they wrapped it up really well. It beats running on bare fumes of story/plot like She Was Pretty was doing.

As for Soo Ah, who's the most controversial one here, I thought her arc was pretty consistent - she was struggling right from the early episodes, as early as 3 she looked a little sick at what she did to Dong Jae, but keeps suppressing her better instincts and fucking everyone up for her specs sake anyway. I saw someone on db compare her to a junkie whose fix was her ma's love (which she can only have by getting #1). I am glad the mom got her comeuppance though, And that Ha Joon's dad had a restraining order slapped on him.

(and goddamn Lee Won Geun/Eunji are freaking adorable together, they killed me. Now I want a Ji-soo/Eunji pairing in some drama or movie please, they had crazy chemistry too and I was ready to faint during the gummy bear scene - I loved that he confessed, and did it so simply, without asking anything of her, just to let her know she'd changed him)
