I had a rought week, eh. At least I cleaned my room (finally), even washed the windows. Today I had this presentation thing oat uni, I barely spet but somehow pulled it off. I procatinated too much...

my flatmate tried tp lecture me that I need a boyfriend because 'it's nice not to be alone' (whatever that means). girl is 19 and thinks she knows everything about relationships? i am older and had my fair share of "experiences". i hate having to explain myself that i am not seeing romance or anything, i like loneliness and basically i have different priorities. today at lecture i had guest professor saying that soltitude is a luxury that allows you to know who you really are. not to mention i am asexual and it kinda shows. i try to keep my mouth shout about it cause people usually think aces are like plants or something.

at least today i finally got to use of one printed sheet maks i had in my stash, it's so cool.

also i finally got myself to watch in a good way and i keep on seeing jo jong suk in lego li XD i tried watching love cuisine but damn the female lead is kinda grating.

I'm waiting for my hair to dry so I can Manic Panic it. The first time we bleached+dyed it some bits right at the front of my hairline got missed so I had to go back and bleach those, and then I also did my eyebrows.

Waiting for my shipment of goodies from Koredepart. THE SHIPPING, OH GOD THE SHIPPING. I still ended up saving money from what it would've cost from YesStyle but that $50+ shipping is still intense. I'll just have to stick with YesStyle for clothes because they carry Chinese brands that seem to like ladies with some fat on their bodies more. XD

B1A4 ON SUNDAY AHH I still gotta figure out what I'm wearing. The one mainstay are my cowboy boots because they're comfy and have my insoles in them. (They also make me 5'8" so that'll be interesting on the hi-touch line if they're standing.)

I've finished watching A Walk To Remember (again to the power of 7) and completely bawled my eyes out. I can only imagine how puffy they'll be in the morning.

My mum is coming soon to visit us for a few days, so I'm happy but also a bit stressed. Between my masters and work, I hope I can give her enough of my time so she doesn't feel lonely.

I have barely recovered from my trip to Japan, and finally stopped looking like a zombie suffering from lack of sleep. Loads of studying to do though. OTL

What are effective tips to deal with hideous eye-circles? (Temporary or "permanently", hiding them or getting rid of them, makeup or other remedies, anything really)

I've had eye-bags my whole life so I'm fine with those but I got some pretty bad dark circles under my eyes some years ago due to making myself sleep less to study, and these days they really annoy me and people keep asking if I'm tired etc :(

hey! i have this thing to hide dark circles (because i was born it so there's no way for me to get rid of it) and it's by applying concealer under the eyes by drawing an upside down triangle instead of just going around under the eyes

does my explanation make sense? :/

the company i work at hasn't paid my paycheck yet. what's worse is that some of my colleagues have already got paid. it's so unfair. i'm not gonna come in for work on monday if i don't get it yet this weekend. ugh this clearly ruins my plans for weekend cause i'm running low on money and i have my friend's wedding + my friend's kid birthday party to go tomorrow.

this week marked as my last week as an undergraduate student... im relieved and sad at the same time, now i don't know what i'm gonna do for the rest of my life....

I'm having a minor existential crisis tbh. I have an engineering degree and I worked as an engineer for a few years, and while the pay was hella great I....dunno if I really enjoyed the work that much?

I'm unemployed at the moment because my engineering industry is shitting itself badly atm, so I'm studying a TEFL (teaching english as a foreign language) certificate to give myself a back-up. I'm really really enjoying it - I've always been really good at English and knew, deep down, that it was my passion, but....well, my parents wanted me to do a ~decent degree so I did engineering.

Now I'm just...torn - my brain says I need to move across the country to the city where my engineering industry is strongest, in order to get another engineering job, but I think my heart wants me to move overseas and teach English, and build a career in that industry. Thing is, it's...really hard to tear myself away from the ~glamour of being an engineer - especially a 24yo female one. Fortunately my parents are amazing and will support me whatever I do, but idk. There's still that loud part of me that says 'you need to impress your parents!! they love to brag about your engineering degree!! MAKE THEM PROUD!!!!!' and man I just. lmao i'm a mess fml

there's also the fact that doing this stupid degree nearly killed me (engineering is FUCKING HARD) so i kind of want to get a few more years of usage out of the thing, but goddddd

I don't love or hate my job. I'm OK with status quo but i am forced to job hunt now. Was told my office doesn't have work...until the fall of next year. :(

i had a gross time shopping for a bday present for a friend today. i wanted to get her a board game (her husband and her are really into board games), but she lives in the middle of nowhere and it'll just be her and her husband playing and all the fun ones require a group of people. also, they have tons and i don't know what they don't have.

so, i headed to the mall to bath and body works and picked out their awesome 3 wick candles (on sale for 2 for $24!), but at the register, i saw this.



there's a lot of stuff packed in it, so it's a really good deal, but i feel like i should've kept the candles? like, this is very much a xmas present, it doesn't really say birthday. i don't know. i'm such a bad shopper, it's all impulse and i regret it later.

This is so lame but one of my close friends has gotten SUPER into Korean skincare the past month plus has the funds to buy all the products she wants and I AM SO JEALOUS.
I saw her two days ago and her skin is AMAZING. She looks 10 years younger. I'm jealous that she has disposable income to buy whatever she wanted. Jealous that the products are working and not making her breakout in a rash or zits like they do for me. Jealous that she looks SO good. And since she's buying all these products, the sales people are giving her free stuff and samples galore. When we met up, she had just bought 31 sheet masks and they were all in the $3+ range and the sales people had gifted her a $25 mascara cause they see her so much. She gave me a handful of free samples that she has full size products of and the one I used made me break out into a rash. waaaah!

about to embark on a 4-month long backpacking trip across parts of east asia, southeast asia, and india. i've traveled abroad before but usually with a program and/or other people so i'm a little nervous about the fact that i'll be doing this [mostly] alone. i'm looking forward to challenging myself but am also in a perpetual state of 'wtf am i doing'. ahhhhhhhhhh

A friend of mine is also doing this currently (maybe you'll meet her idk). She told me it's quite awkward when she is completely alone during the first nights after changing place but eventually she met other travelers so it turned out ok. I guess mentally preparing yourself for the norms of the country you're going is also important bc sometimes these are the things that are neglected but can either make your trips worst/better.
