He didn't seem that confident with his English when they first debuted (especially hanging around Mark and Jackson), but I guess they gave him reason to get better.
Her Mandarin bit? "Hello everyone, I'm Twice's Tzuyu. Please support Twice. We will continue to work hard. Thank you all." then she switched to Korean so I don't know what she said :O
It was a little awkward at times but the babies were cute anyway. I'm surprised at how tomboyish Nayeon is, she's way more tomboyish than Jeongyeon. She shot right up my bias list, tomboyish without a care for her image, good singer, decent dancer, visual, and she can take care of others. Dahyun is really cute too. Mina is more talkative than before, but Sana was oddly quiet.
the translation process could not be clumsier for a show that's supposed to cater to a bilingual audience, I wonder if they ever considered hiring some proper interpreters? There's someone literally typing out a simultaneous translation and when there's a typo they just give up lol it's such a shame because it's a good idea for fandoms to have international outreach like this :/
Yeah it seems that someone who knows a good deal of English was picked... but a professionnal would make a better job. I worked at EU level and I've seen some case of simultaneous translation handled a lot better; even the smallest joke would be translated on spot. It's a job and it's not easy :/
exactly! I'm training to be an interpreter and I've done a lot of translation work and it always bothers me when people assume it's just something anyone who speaks two languages can do. It's hard work and it takes years of training to be good at it, especially simultaneous translation. The person typing up the translations spoke fluent English, maybe they even had some experience with interpreting but this live-typing format is just terrible. I've seen Japanese variety shows who had competent interpreters on-site for international guests and it was a lot more coherent than this.
Oh! Good luck with your studies :) I know two persons who started studies to be interpreter; one of them just gave up and the other will change her career plans... The level of grammar asked in each language is actually insane? The second one actually knows more French words and grammatical rules than me now, yet I'm a native speaker and she's not. It's sooo impressive Live-typing requires so many skills. It's not just translating; it's being able to hear, translate and write at the same time, I could never do that
the translation box is so frustrating to watch, because they use more time to fix their typos then to translate. You will also see how the guests will talk and talk while the translation box will only show something like "We enjoy singing." They should also consider to properly translate the show once they upload it on youtube.

Yes they should take the time to add subtitles before they upload it, or just have a professional interpreter on camera with a microphone, Japanese TV pulls that off pretty well. They can afford three MCs but no interpreters? It's just baffling that they keep going with this ridiculous live typing format. The show could be so much better
I really don't know how they could make the show less awkward. It's sad because the idea of English translation on spot is great for international fans and they're inclusive when it comes to select fans all over the world. Idk.
Aww Tzuyu in the end, girl deserves a hug Sana was weirdly quiet? But Mina was a lot more open. Momo and her were picking up the songs really fast. Nayeon stole the show
I feel that something less "staged" would fit them better but it was already nice to watch (or I'm already too much of a fan)
Has anyone made a post with their individual videos for OOH-AAH?
Of course BamBam had to join the girl group dance section and OF COURSE he had to slay Up Down lollll. Mina's 24 hours was good but I preferred Momo's tbh. I love how Daehyun said that Jungyeon's chic appearance is miles away from her actual character. You dont even have to watch her for a long time to see that she's fun and silly and very caring and not cold at all. <3
omg bambam and twice..... i might watch this even tho it pains me to do so.... slightly OT but i finally reached level 2 chemi-beat for twice on V app. idek why i tried this hard.

Mina's 24hours was so good <3 Momo was adorable as always, I love how excited she was to do the dances Dahyun's reaction to the pizza was soo cute like she couldn't believe they could have it. x) I think at the end Eric said something along the lines of Tzuyu not talking (I''m guessing) and she was just surprised/got taken aback by it.
