Synopsis: Top Band is a band competition series that airs on KBS. Out of 623 auditioning bands, only 18 teams will make it past the preliminaries and onto the main stage. Over the course of 12 episodes, these contestants will compete for the title of 'Top Band' and the 100 million Won grand prize. This season's panel of judges is made up of Shin Dae Chul, leader and guitarist of Sinawe; composer and songwriter Yoon Il Sang; and indie band Rose Motel, which previously participated as a contestant in Top Band 2.

In this episode: Band Geuraeseo performs in the final coach match. With the coach teams finalized, Yoon Il Sang's group of bands get together for a friendly picnic and a short busking session. They then receive their mission and perform in hopes to make it to the next round.

Coach Match Performances

A brief explanation of this segment: Each of the 18 final bands will have the chance to work with a coach throughout the season. Here, each team has 300 seconds to win over the hearts of the three available coaches (Shin Dae Chul, Yoon Il Sang, and Rose Motel) so that they can move onto the real competition.

Coach Yoon Il Sang Group: Group Contest Performances

A brief explanation of this segment: The four teams from each coach group will receive a mission to complete. Based on the performances that are presented, the coaches will choose two teams from their respective group to move onto the next round.

Special judges: Kim Tae Won (guitarist of Boohwal), Cho Kyu Chan (singer)

I'm super stoked for the band resurrections because Dead Buttons' elimination devastated me. lol I hope that they'll have a chance to redeem themselves.

It's a little sad to see half of the teams getting eliminated in just the first mission, but hopefully this means that later episodes will feature longer performances from each band. Yoon Il Sang's group is probably my least favorite group of bands so far, so I'm really excited for the upcoming performances from the remaining ones.

Question: Would you guys find it helpful if I linked to the original versions of each cover? I had to look up some of the songs, but it was nice to compare the covers to the originals.
