one of my friends showed this to me so i decided to share this w/ you guys. i side-eyed a few comments but overall p. ok. what do you think of the ladies omona?

and ngl i'm posting this simply for two reasons. 1: look how pretty a few of my bollywood faves are (idk the last one [shruti] and i don't like katrina kaif) and 2. look at how pretty deepika looks in my new icon

Deepika bae remains flawless. She recently did an interview on her depression she was so honest and open about it when theres such an issue regarding mental health issues and being on medication.

her interview about her depression was really heartwarming for me as i suffer through depression too and just knowing that someone you admire so much also has similar problems as you? it makes it easier in some ways

and i'm honestly planning to get my nose pierced - the nose rings always look so beautiful (esp in movies like jodhaa akbar and all)

Don't Shruti work mostly in the South ? I don't remember her in any Bollywood movie, but whatever. And yeah straight eyebrows are such global trend that everyone sporting other shapes are soooo outdated~

Dostana - chick flick (ish). she looks da bomb in it. Its abt 2 guys who fall for a girl, and they pretend to be gay so that they can hang with her. its actually kinda funny, and non offesive. (atleast back in 2009)


7 khoon maaf - thriller(ish) drama. tells the story of how a woman kills 7 successive husbands. very nice acting.


Dil Dhadakne Do- Very generic(ish) big budget bollywood movie. Good looking rich people doing what good looking rich people do.


Barfi- Really cute sweet funny heartwarming movie. Its about a deaf/dumb guy and his life. she plays an autistic girl.

I honestly gasped the first time I ever saw a picture of Deepika. Tbh she reminds me a lot of my mom in her facial features so that probably has something to do with why I think she's so pretty. For some reason it surprised me that she was so popular in the reactions though.

90's-00's classics: kabhi kushi kabhi gham, kuch kuch hota hai, devdas, lagaan, (mind you, all of these are at least 3 hrs lol)
recent: yeh jiwani hai diwani, dil dhadakne do, band baaja bharat, ram leela (shitty plot but beautiful cinematography)

But I am disturbed by the fact that the viewers assumed that because they are beautiful they MUST be talented, smart, charming. I'd be just as offended if they assumed negative personality traits.

Of course I'm applying my cultural perspective when I probably shouldn't but damn, assuming personality based on pictures just strikes me the wrong way.
