Seriously, though, I lovelovelove how mature and thoughtful and self-reflective he is. He really has changed so much and become a thoughtful person who knows how to examine himself and the people around him. You can really see why the other members say he's such a good leader all the time.
I hope he realizes that he can rely and lean on other people too. I don't think that's as big of a problem since I trust the rest of Got7 and the people he surrounds himself with always have his back. JB is right; where he is at this moment is just right.
I just wanna meet him so I can ask him what he thought of Black Messiah because I love the songs on it, especially Really Love. Also, the fact that he loves D'Angelo so much makes me wonder what type of music he'd do if he were a solo artist. It'd be cool to see him try neo-soul or funk.
i think the brown sugar album is his bible, i could be mistaken but i don't think i've seen him mention any tracks off the others. it's an experience, i don't blame him. he's still letting it wash over him. i don't think he's ready for black messiah yet. you don't ask for more water when you're drowning. omg i think about solo jb so often just because of all the the soul artists he seems to gravitate towards. like, i know he won't be able to go all out, but if there's just a taste of those styles injected in there combined with the way he can move those hips…

I think some of the photos are doing a disservice to him. I've always liked reading his interviews although sometimes I can't tell if he is being pretentious about things especially in the beginning of his career. It's nice to see them grow though coz i remember Jr saying how JB has a temper but he is so mellow now. And he is so loyal to D'angelo, I wonder if he is not listening to new music or he just can't be bothered to talk about new things.

I like the photos (though more bc JB is inevitably handsome than anything on Nylon's part) but I LOVE the interview. He's so thoughtful. At first I couldn't process the idea of him NOT being a singer/interested in singing from the get-go because I love his voice so much?? And he's so good?? But then I really appreciated what he said about how much he practiced to become good at it, and how he found inspiration in D'Angelo's music lmao.

I dont know how to explain it. I get the feeling he is mostly in his head. he speaks in this monotonous tone, his face is unchanging.. i get the distinct feeling he's thinking a lot of things over in his head. so he has this "im not really here" vibe (to me).
for ex on most v app videos or the ones where he has to introduce what theyre going to do and when they sign off - his voice is low and monotonous like a robot.
he's definitely not always so withdrawn. but when he is, its a strange vibe
He's got a nonchalance about him which I imagine makes it difficult for some people to understand him but I get him because I have the same type of personality so I know that people like that actually overthink and worry the most even though they seem blank/indifferent on the outside.

God, I hated him so much then. But I came across someone who actually liked him R+I because he was being himself and not phoning it in. That kinda changed my perspective since he was 18 or 19 when he did the show. I need to re-watch this and see if my first impression remains the same.
Lol I agree, now I have a different perspective because I'm all for idols being sincere and not putting on a show and it's kinda refreshing to see someone so young not give a fuck lol I just felt bad for poor Seung Ah because she cried and the whole thing :(
The fact that he is gorgeous aside (despite the disservice this photoshoot does to his looks tbh), personally a big part of why I find him attractive is actually his personality and how much he matured since his younger years. He really made an effort and it clearly paid off. You can tell he tries his best to be honest, so the genuinely can be felt without it coming off as pretentious.
