It seems that another star couple has been born!

Actor and Clazziquai member Alex, known from the famous dramas “Pasta,” “Medical Top Team,” and “Hotel King,” and Rainbow‘s Hyunyoung are said to be dating. Their agencies have yet to confirm the reports.

According to Daily Sports, they met this year through a mutual acquaintance, and fell in love. Alex has always been honest with his love, so Hyunyoung has been accompanying him to many concerts and dinners, making their relationship known to those close to them.

One of their acquaintances said, “The two have been dating for four months. Alex liked her first, but she liked him back quickly as well. They did not try to hide it at all. Alex even introduced her as his girlfriend at one of the dinners.”

Alex is 36 years old while Hyunyoung is 24, but the two do not show their age difference. Alex is very caring, and Hyunyoung is cute and adorable!

I know we're supposed to be 'oh well we don't know their life so I hope they're happy regardless of age difference!' but I do get more and more skeeved out the more we hear about couples with age differences this year (and it's always late teens/early twenties women with early thirties men it seems lately). hyunyoung's only a year older than me and I can't imagine dating anyone over thirty, just on principle.
obviously i hope they're happy and they treat each other well in each case. but i still feel wary in general.

If that works for you then sure! I think we're definitely at the age where it's going to start getting more commonplace/less skeevy. For me, if any dude older than 30 was flirting with me I'd be watching him like a hawk for any sign that he thought for a moment my age made me more desirable or he was fetishising my age or patronising me in any way. Ironically, when I was in my teens, I would've been more open to it, but I think I've had more experiences since then that make me more wary and realise that actually I was in a position to be really easily taken advantage of (and sort of was, in a way).

An age gap doesn't faze me. Honestly since I'm close to Hyunyoung's age I often question the maturity and mindset of the guys in my age group and could easily see myself dating older. I just want someone who knows what they're doing and what they're about. So long as I like them and they treat me right, hey ho off we go.

Difference in maturity levels seems to be a popular talking point but I feel like it unfairly subscribes women in their 20s to this cycle of perpetually looking for long term serious romantic relationships/future partners when there are PLENTY of ladies sewing their wild oats right along w/their male counterparts at that age lol

Then again, the reception to women unabashedly enjoying dick/kitty is no doubt STARKLY different across genders. And that's one thing many cultures can agree on, so I guess I just answered my own question lmao.

the part that bothers me is that guys in their 30s will often refuse to date women their own age, many of them are exclusively looking for younger women

and of course the other double standard is that women are often judged for dating younger guys, like even 1 or 2 years younger

I don't believe in the difference in maturity excuse, that only applies to puberty, if men are less mature it is because society doesn't expect them to be responsible, boys will be boys nonsense and also the fact that women are expected to cook and clean up after themselves

As someone who is her age, I would date someone his age if I were to date (I don't date often lmao. It's just not me). Usually people that age are much more stable,financially reliable, and emotionally stable. Idk, I don't like dating guys my age. They're immature af.

i mostly only have experience dating guys around my age and when i dated a guy who was like 8 years older the maturity level difference was MIND BLOWING. and when i talk to my friends, they all say the same thing. it's not to say all het women are looking for a stable relationship/ mature guy (bc that would be a lie) or that being mature trumps all other qualities, but the maturity difference is a thing and it ends up being really important.

i'm the same age as her and being someone who's tired af of immature guys when what i really want is a stable relationship that will be compatible with my professional life and my needs, i don't see what the problem is. obvs i would prefer it if i could find the same maturity and stability in a guy who was closer to my age but that's just me.
