Edit: Oops, I mixed the MVs for this up with the ones for Call Me Baby! 🙈 The songs are so simialr though ... Anyways, I actually liked the original Love Me Right MV, but this is fun, too!

the aesthetics of it!! so quirky, and so so eerie!! the song itself is whatever, i love lmr so i'm gonna dance to this too, but the video just.....ahhhhhhh. my aesthetic is the glossy room where they start the mv. it's also pretty boys in shady neighbourhoods at night. it's also weird diner shenanigans. xiumin knocking over the vase and being like 'aw man'. dances against colourful backgrounds. (kai dancing and casting big dancing shadows on the wall!! how poetic!!!!!)

but most importantly, my aesthetic is 100% do kyungsoo looking annoyed and playing ping pong against the wall in a blue room while sehun just hangs around. he's so angry and beautiful.

So this MV is like a mix of familiar 80s + 50s visual cues. Those eras can be such a crutch for lazy art directors/production designers who need a quick touch of stylistic retro...but I'm always a sucker for that 50s Americana diner aesthetic and the arcade video game framework is cute (albeit sorta confusing?), so I guess I'm fine with it...

The 1:02-1:06/2:02-2:08 parts are so cheesy! And I can't get over the awkward strutting past the fence stuff, haha
It's def on the cheaper looking side compared to the original. However, it's also more laidback than the first MV, which (while super pretty) had too many cuts and what-have-you going on, so it was difficult to register everything unless you were pausing all over the place - this is still somewhat scrambled in terms of how they chose to string the scenes/shots together, but you can at least make out what's happening.

The Japanese sounds horrible. Is there going to be this little dancing in the full MV? I'm not really complaining, but that would be a change of course.
