Singer Brian Joo has revealed that he once had the idea of committing suicide.
On SBS Strong Heart aired on 13th October, Brian was one of the guest appearances and he talked about how other Fly To The Sky member HwanHee and his relationship became distant, and he had felt lonely that he wished to give up on music and thought of committing suicide.
Brian revealed, “It was true that my relationship with Hwanhee became bad. For our last 8th album, we did promotions without seeing each other’s faces.”
“Because of some of the misunderstanding from the things said by people around us, we grew distant. I even sent text messages to HwanHee saying ‘You better be careful with the things you say’. As time passes, even though I thought any misunderstanding between us will smooth out, it was during the time when our relationship became more stranded.”
He then continued, “But with the opportunity given on SBS ‘Close Note’, we got the chance to recall all the fun memories we had, and I said, ‘Don’t care about others, let’s just believe each other’, we got back on good terms in tears.”
With that Brian did a video message to HwanHee on the show, “I’m sorry for making things tiring for you. I will protect you always. I love you.”

Brian Joo of famous ex-duo Fly to the Sky that called it quits earlier this year, finally revealed what the real reason behind the breakup was.
On the 13th on SBS Strong Heart, Brian Joo revealed that the initial plan for the duo was to focus on their individual solo activities just for the moment, but "because people spread around that our relationship was dismantled, a misunderstanding was created between us." He went even further into detail and confessed, "We did the final 8th album as a duet without even looking at each other or meeting."
"Because of Hwanhee, there were times in life when I even wanted to die," and, "Since two years ago, Hwanhee and I had an issue. People had spoken strange words, saying that it seemed like our relationship wasn't good. Both of us hearing only those words, a misunderstanding was created, which caused us to even record our 8th album separately. We didn't even see each other's faces."
He added, "After repressing for a bit, Hwanhee eventually sent me a text that said 'Watch what you say'. I thought that if I argued back, a big fight would occur so I decided to give it some time, but instead, the anger only deepened. This year's January has been extremely hard. While drinking with a friend, I even said "I'm going to commit suicide. Do not leave me alone.""
Amidst all this sad news, there is a happy ending - Brian revealed that the two began to grow closer once again during the recording of SBS Intimate Note earlier this year. He expressed, "During the shooting, I started to think of the old days," and that, "Hwanhee was the first to approach and say, 'Don't listen to the words of anyone else and just trust each other till we die.' At that moment, I felt so relieved and started to cry."
Finally, through a video letter, Brian said to Hwanhee, "If I made it hard on you in the past, I'm sorry," and that, "From now on, I will be by your side watching and supporting you. Hwanhee, I love you."
