Taeyeon‘s solo debut and title track “I” is an immense hit as the song continues to chart at the top on October 10th on all digital charts.
Having released her first solo mini-album I on October 7th at midnight, the song had immediately began to chart and began its all-kill streak just hours afterwards. Twelve hours after its release, the music video was officially published, wow-ing fans with the quality of production.
Since then, Taeyeon has been seen occupying mostly in 1st place on digital chart’s real-time and online chart. As of October 10th at 10:30pm KST, the Girls’ Generation member comes close as ever to a perfect all-kill which is signified by #1s across all real-time and daily digital charts.
Meanwhile, Taeyeon has been busy promoting her album on the music shows beginning with M! Countdown, Music Bank, and Music Core, impressing everyone with her top notch live vocals.

She's still slaying every single chart out there nearly a week after release and is now #1 on iChart's Weekly chart (which is an aggregation of all the major charts) with 16 17 18 Melon roof hits so far. Also 'U R' is still in Melon's top 10! Mnet ruined her chance at a certified all-kill with a song that's not even top 50 on all the other charts though >:(

I wonder how TIffany's solo will do in comparison. Either way it's clear she has a career after Soshi eventually call it quits.

I think it was mostly due to her OSTs, which charted really well (people nicknamed her OST Queen), and her duets with some really respected male vocalists. Because of that I'd say she has a lot of public recognition, probably 2nd to Yoona.

She's always been admired for having a great voice, she was all over OSTs for a good bit and for the most part her career has been scandal-free (until recently). I reckon the public view Taeyeon with more artistic credibility, whatever that might mean. Taeyeon has always been the one people reckoned would do the best outside of Soshi too. She's pretty, she's talented, and she's hella marketable. I reckon to those that Soshi don't appeal to, Taeyeon on her own is more likely to charm.
