I've listened about 3 times now. This is the most listenable CD to me besides Got It.
They all follow the same theme of music. Everyone sounds smooth and sexy. Good is really fun. I Keep Looking. It's just a mature sound that I dig. It's something I can groove too all day. And the more I listen to If You Do the more I dig it.
IT'S SO GOOD, def one of my faves. I thought Good was my runaway favorite, but the more I listen the more I love I Keep Looking (or however you translate it) and Tic Tic Tok too.
It's better than Just Right mini. I like Just Right but it's kind of forgettable, this one has more jams, I especially like I keep looking. JYP song is good but it'll be a song I get tired of like Nice (the guh guh Got7 part is really annoying).
Got7 usually performs a lot of their songs live at one point so I'm expecting I keep looking live. I think the only song they haven't performed live is Like Oh, and the Just Right mini because there was no showcase for the mini.
Oh they're performing hooked at the showcase as a gift for the 10 million hearts on the v app.
This is REALLY impressive and I'm glad they're finally getting some jams that are worthy of them. They sound mature but not like a completely different band, even the music video was....*clears throat* Just Right because it was angsty and moody but not suddenly really hardcore. It feels like a natural progression. They sound mature, it suits their ages and their personalities too.
Tic Tic Tock, Raise Your Hand and If You Do are my faves so far but I need to find the lyrics before I can definitely say that. What I love about If You Do is instead of growling or yelling they really were restrained vocally. They didn't go the obvious route and it's more interesting as a result and has more depth. Junior in the m/v was a revelation, he's got real potential if he ever does a solo song

It's interesting you say this and it def gives me a different perspective, because one reason the song didn't immediately click for me was I was expecting more power in the chorus? Like a high note or something, especially when Youngjae starts singing after JB. But they really were very restrained, and idk. The song grew on me, but I feel like it's still missing something.
good is my favorite so far. probably my favorite got7 song now.
and honestly im still upset that just right went to waste just like that. that mini was great, probably one of their best since debut and it was only two months ago! why couldnt jyp push just right a little bit more instead of scrapping it out so quickly and making them move to "mature" so fast?
Concepts aside, I think it must have been a ton of work + stress to make just right and mad happen in such a short amount of time. Idk maybe im thinking way too much lol more power to got7 and their fans that get a comeback every time they blink <3
They only got to promote Just Right for a short time because their comeback was delayed due to the original Just Right mv director flaking out last minute.
It messed them up bad, they were orignally gonna promote in June before 2PM but everything got delayed. 2PM couldnt push their comeback back any further due to concert obligations so GOT7 had to go after 2PM which lead to a shorter promotion period.
If You Do - wow everyone sounds really good, this is like Big Bang levels of re-recording the vocals until they are perfect
Put 'Em Up - not as good as 2pm's Hands Up (but what is), but GOT7 have a slight edge over 2PM as vocalists
Feels Good - very "expensive sounding" (as the Biebs would say), not sure the pop melodies match the production but man the beat is so lush
Good - yr standard sped-up electric-guitar-strummed Kpop song with a whistle hook (sounds like a girl-group song actually)
I Keep Looking - Oh this is really nice, sounds kind of like EXO, but weird experimental EXO, keeps swinging back and forth between hip hop and rnb, just a tad too fast and always a bit off-kilter.. I really like this one!
Tic Tic Toc - More menacing 80s breathy vocalizations, cause when they were cute it didn't sell OFC. I like the beat though.
Late to the party and everyone has already said what I'm thinking but I'll post it anyway lol.
Tic Tic Toc did end up being my favorite song with that SexyBack-lite instrumental (Jackson really did go hard I'm still shocked lol)! The chorus of got I Keep Looking got me hooked immediately which why it's my 2nd fave. If I Do was a safe but very solid choice for a title track so no complaints here. Feels Good took a couple of listens but now I'm really liking it (it reminds me of a B-side on one of their other albums but I can't place it). I like the disco feel of Good - those falsettos were really really.... good. Raise Your Hands wasn't for me.
I'm very happy with this comeback :') bring on the angst!!!!!
this album is pretty solid. I enjoyed all the songs except "raise your hand" it doesn't fit sound wise :/ "tic tic toc" , "feels good" and "if you do" are my faves

I KEEP LOOKING is where it's at, y'all
