Ryeowook tears up on Sukira

Ryeowook confirmed that he will be moving out of Super Junior dorms in September, before the enlistment of fellow bandmates Eunhyuk, Donghae and Siwon (EunHae both previously lived in the dorms as well) This will be the first time Ryeowook has ever been living away from the SJ dorm. He'll be living with his parents to spend more time with them before his own enlistment.

Ryeowook: It’s been 10 years (in the dorm). I’m used to the craziness, and member’s strange habits, and taking care of them.Every time I hear members talking about the stories that happen in the dorm, I feel thankful that we’re all so close.Fearing loneliness, fearing being without them, fearing being a burden so I urge myself to be independent..

He mentions the next day on Sukira that he went home and told Donghae he cried on broadcast to which Hae asked him why and that he shouldnt be sad, it's Donghae who should be sad, and proceeded to cook ramen for Wook. I LIVE FOR HAEWOOK MOMENTS THEYRE SO SWEET TO EACH OTHER

I have so many feelings!!! about!!! this!! and everything!!! Super Junior was the first group I stanned for when I first got into Kpop, so I still have lots of feelings about them. Yes, most of them have done/said problematic things, and I earnestly hope that they've come to change their views on said subjects. Still, my memories of them will always be the goofy, funny guys who made me laugh countless times. Hope they all stay safe and happy for the next few years!

Poor Wookie! It's great though that he gets to spend time with his parent. But, demmit, majority of suju enlisting now, what happens next? Oh well, I guess there's nothing else left to do. I will wait for you oppa-deul~ Hwaiting!

i'm surprised ryeowook cried, i would've thought it was donghae cos he always cries lol and also because ryeowook seems to take care of them all and donghae would probably really miss that if they all had to start living apart like normal, non-codependent people. i used to joke donghae would probably try and beg ryewook to get a sex change so he could marry him (sry i was problematic about this years ago).

i watched their latest radio star interview, and i'm sad ryeowook has never been on it, he'd be a riot. and i was surprised at how anxious donghae was. i knew he was shy and that he had moments where he'd look at the moon and cry at it's beauty (lol), and also that he was kind of really dumb (lol) but i didn't know he was that shy and had that much anxiety and doesn't like variety because he doesn't like people paying attention to him (outside of performing, i guess). i guess i never noticed because he seemed fine when he was younger, like their older variety shows. i'll never forget full house when he told that girl she looked like nicholas cage lol.

You sound like a true fan. Suju dbsk girlsgen were the first few bands in kpop that i stanned. Its a bit depressing to see them grow older and do their own things. Reminds me of my own aging...

Even though they're not disbanding or anything drastic, it feels like the end of an era. Poor Wookie. But it has to feel pretty lonely in the dorm with everyone gradually moving out.

It really does. It kinda hurts, tbh - like, they were my first bias group. And tbh I'm half afraid that once they've got everyone back from army (bc let's be real, they're not doing ANYTHING without Kyu and Wook holding down vocals) SM is just gonna let them kinda fizzle. They may get some personal activities, but I'm honestly scared that this is it for SJ as a group. :(

I was surprised by how sad I felt yesterday. I mean, I love them and they were my first bias group too but I’m not usually one to get too emotional over things like enlistments. This time it feels different though. Just like you said, I’m afraid that once Kyuhyun and Ryeowook enlist that the group will fade away. Nobody living in the dorms, Sungmin is married, and SM doesn’t seem to care enough to try to hold them together. I hope that this isn’t it for SJ. They really mean a lot more to me than I realized, and I didn’t think that was possible.

But it's a good thing for Wook to learn to be more independent. He's such a Hae fanboy.
He's approaching late 20's too and it'll be good for him to not have to mother the SJ members and spend more time with his family.
Hopefully this means he'll get a gf. I feel like he's prollie the only SJ member that doesn't date.

At any rate, he should just do what Donghae does. Own an apartment and commute back and forth between the dorms and the apartment.
It's good to have a separate pad for privacy from his SJ brothers.
With Hae enlisting, I'll be sad that all the dorm stories of Hae waking everybody up for like 3am snacks will be gone.
Or stories of Wook babying Hae and cooking for him. Or their epic fights lol I live for HaeWook stories and HaeKyu / SiHae / HaeChul moments



So does this mean HaeHyuk have moved their stuff out of the dorms just cuz they're enlisting? I was under the impression that TeukChul still lived in the dorms (but I remember hearing Chul moved out). Minnie is definitely gone from the dorms now that he's married. So it'll be just KyuWook holding down the fort in the dorms for the next couple years. Yeah, I can see why Wook will get lonely esp as he lives on the same floor as HaeChulTeuk and KyuHyukMin lived below.

I dont think Teuk moved back in the dorm after he was released from the Army.
Chul moved out some times ago, remember him posting his new lonely Apartment in Instagram?
I don't know if HaeHyuk really has moved out, but as Hyuk is going as an active soldier, there is no way he would be staying at the dorms on his breaks.

I wish when they are all released from the army, they will reunite and go on holidays together once again.

And thanks for confirming about Chul. I remembered hearing about it but wasn't 100% sure.
I can't imagine Suju without their funny dorm stories. But once they all start marrying and whatnot, it's just not feasible to have a dorm anymore.

This Sukira happening and the day after we have the enlistment dates confirmation.
I guess fans who have been staying and maturing together with SJ can see it coming already. I mean we have seen 4 people going in and out of the army, and members moving in and out of the dorms. What makes it different now is because we could not expect any activities of SJ as a whole group, for at least the next 3 years.
The Super Camp would be a bittersweet anniversary and farewell party.

Yeah, they took a group break after SFS to Mamacita for 2 years but we still have Super Shows and SJ-M's promotion then. Now I just hope SM will push KRY at least before Kyu and Wook's enlistment. Individually, they'll still appear pm everywhere but I'll miss their activities as a group.

awwwwww Wookie ;___; I always had this 'oh, they're going in the next step of their life' feeling everytime a member move out from the dorm but this time, is it save to say that once Eunhyuk and Donghae enlists, all of them won't be living in the dorm anymore? Because that leaves Kyuhyun and their managers? And Kyuhyun had been going back and forth his dorm and home anyways.

10 years...even I teared up when I moved out of my 2 years and my 4 years dorm. I'm going to miss their silly dorm tales. The one that I remember straightly is when Wook and Donghae went to Eunhyuk's room (which is in a different floor) and Wook & Donghae fight AND told Eunhyuk to get out (from HIS room) lol.

So much things going on with SJ this year that makes me really realize it's been a long time since I follow them. Sungmin is married, Choco passed away :'( , eunsihae enlistment, and although he hadn't been there for ages, Kibum's contract termination, and now maybe the end of their dorm life. Good luck to all of them~!
