Yeah I hated the unnecessary vocal acrobatics. But tbh I generally dislike covers which deviate greatly from the actual song. This would have been great if he toned it down.
Mhm, I agree. I also wish they hadn't shown the artists, who sing the song or at least not for such long portions of the video. This tribute should have been all about EunB and Rise!

I think all polaris artists took part (kim bum soo, sun woo, ivy, Han hee jun in that order) and rumble fish but unless I'm mistaken they weren't in this mv.
I feel very conflicted about video's like this. I don't doubt that Polaris mourns the death of these girls and didn't want them gone - but at the same they, they as a company (and the industry as a whole) drove these girls to their deaths with crazy schedules, and now they're sorta milking it with sad video's and concerts? Maybe I'm being rather pessimistic, but it all feels weird to me.
i definitely think polaris and the industry are to blame, and that they'll reap profits from this, but... it would also feel wrong if they didn't do something to commemorate them on the anniversary. idk. ideally they would donate all the profits to charity or use them to help the victims' families or something, but of course, that would never happen.
well said. to be blunt polaris has blood on their hands and i feel like the money going into stuff like this should instead be going towards making a change in the industry.
I thought I was gonna feel sad watching this but it's a lot more bittersweet. What happened was unfortunate but seeing them so happy in these videos made me smile and the rendition definitely helped make it feel more uplifting (even though kbs was being very extra) I wonder if they'll release a video for Sojung's song too though :\
This video is much better, IMO. I like seeing them happy, smiling, performing... but it makes it that much harder to process when you realize that two talented & vibrant young ladies were cruelly taken from their family & friends...
rly hoping polaris isnt trying to milk this this tragedy still hurts to this day, i loved risae to death and eunbi was so sincere to her fans i've never seen ANY idol walk down the street holding hands with all of her fans. they were so talented and beautiful and if this doesn't tell sk's to smarten up when driving i will be so pissed omg
Judging by the number of (at least minor) car accidents, I think you can say that nothing has really changed. :( Eta: i meant to say the number of accidents in the past year (or hell, even the past few months) after their deaths.
Can't believe that it's been a year, they look so vibrant and full of life in the video. :( the cover is pretty nice but i agree with the other commenters, more Eunbiand Rise would be nice! Semi-ot but i just recently watched Rise's episode on Running Man. She was pretty quiet and shy but it was hilarious when she basically isolated herself from everyone else, and then calling her out to get her to conspire with the other teams to get Gwang Soo back. lol
Sigh it still hurts. There was so much going for them, Ladies' Code was on the way up and all of the girls had such a special place in my heart. Rise and EunB were such rays of sunshine and their deaths were so senseless and preventable.
I still remember the day I found out and I was convinced it couldn't be real. Those whole few days when everyone was praying that Rise was gonna make it through, what EunB's mother said, how devastating it was when Rise passed away. It was just heartbreaking. It still is heartbreaking.
So beautiful, so young, so talented and so genuine. I think I'll always miss them.
