Lee Yo Won In Declining Health

MBC's Queen Seon Duk might be pulling in high ratings but there's a worrying sign ahead for the production, after it's main actress, Lee Yo Won missed two days of filming recently, between 6 - 7th October, citing poor health.

According to J&H Film on the 9th, because of the high intensity filming schedule planned by the production company, Lee Yo Won's health has been severely declining in recent weeks. In a recent checkup at the hospital, Yo Won was diagnosed to have failed several health checklists, and if not careful, her fatique could result in her immunity levels dropping, making her susceptible to getting sick easily.



Since beginning filming for the drama back in May, Lee Yo Won has hardly had any break. Even she was at breaking point, she would just get on a IV drip and settle her exhaustion, before returning back to filming. After a few months of filming, Lee Yo Won's body condition has deteriorated greatly until she simply cannot go on filming any longer.

After two days of consecutive rest, Lee Yo Won has returned back to the filming set but because of her enforced absence, she has to rush through filming in order to make up for lost time and ensure that the broadcast is not affected. And in any case, it would just simply be a case of back to square one regarding her health.

It's known that all the other cast members and production staff have agreed to MBC's drama extension of 8 episodes. But with Lee Yo Won being the pivotal figure in the drama and concerns over her health, the final decision is with her.

it boggles my mind that she is the same age as the woman who plays her mom/nanny in the drama. /ot

I hope she gets better. I wonder what kind of tests these are
