Lee Bang Won was the third king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea and the father of King Sejong the Great. He helped his father King Taejo establish the Joseon Dynasty.

Wiki's summary: Six Flying Dragons depicts the ideological and political conflict between Prince Yi Bang-won (later King Taejong) and Jeong Do-jeon, the man instrumental in helping his father Yi Seong-gye (King Taejo) establish the fledgling Joseon nation. Jeong Do-jeon wants a country ruled by ministers, while Taejong wants absolute power.

Opinions? Apparently it's supposed to be a 50-episode Mo/Tue drama. That's longer than my usual drama picks, but the story sounds interesting and there's a good number of actors I like in the cast.

I'm not touching historical dramas even with a stick since loooong time bc I always end up dissapointed as hell. Lately I've only checked Empress Ki bc obv Ha Jiwon is my girl, but stayed for Changwook's face(still it was enough only to keep me for like 15 eps). YAI and BYH... I'm tempted bc BYH last drama wasn't for me and YAI prob goona be out to military after this, hmmm... Pilot ep, I'm coming lol

I actually quite like historical dramas - for me it's the number of episodes that kinda dampens my exitement a bit. But I'm tentatively looking forward to it.

Moon that embraces the sun(it kinda peaked at the start), the one with Kim Bum and MGY, the one with Kim Taehee, even that one with scandal in title starring so many big names that a lot of people like (I liked it at first but kinda get tired then). It's seems like the whole historical scenography makes all the bad plots/scens to "shine" more than in modern day dramas and korean often exaggarated manner of acting feels even more fake in sageuk.

Same tbh. + Kim Myung-min for me. I don't think I've seen the others in dramas yet, but even with the aforementioned three, it's already a pretty stellar cast!

I actually love historical dramas that center around this real characters. There are so much drama and side and writers' can explore both side of the story and let the audiences decide which one they prefers.

From the synopsis, it leaned more towards Kim Myung Min's character being the good guy but I believe when the drama starts, it will favor Yoo Ah In.

OP, have you watch Tree WIth Deep Roots (it more or less has the same characters)? The drama legit one of the very best written kdrama I have ever watch tbh. :)

Nooooo, not yet! ;_; But I've heard it's really good and it's definitely on my list of must-see dramas. Also, I think I've read that the same writers who wrote Tree With Deep Roots are writing this one?
