Big Bang delaying MADE album release

BIGBANG has decided to take some time off and delay the release of their new album, which was scheduled to take place on September 1, after working relentlessly for four months in a row to release their “MADE” series albums.

YG Entertainment (YG) announced on August 18, “We’ve decided that BIGBANG needs some time off to get recharged since they have been working non-stop for four months.”

BIGBANG’s agency added, “The members also said that they want to put some more time in making more songs for the new album as it will be a regular album. We decided to use the three weeks in September that were originally set aside for appearing on TV shows in Korea as time for the members to get recharged and to work on making more songs for the new album.” They asked for the fans’ understanding about the delay in releasing the new album.

In addition to releasing new singles every month for the last four months, BIGBANG is currently on a world tour to meet more than 1.4 million fans worldwide. The tickets to each of their concerts were sold out in mere minutes, and BIGBANG’s singles topped the iTunes charts in 16 countries, demonstrating their global popularity. They have also set a new record by taking the No.1 spot on Korea’s monthly charts for three months in a row.

Their “LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE” released in August also swept Korea’s major weekly charts for two weeks in a row. Expectations are running high on whether they will be able to become No.1 on Korea’s monthly charts for four months in a row.

Meanwhile, the August 22 show of Infinite Challenge will feature G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and Kwanghee – the Whangtaegi team – performing “Mapsosa” at the Youngdong Highway Music Festival, and the music file of the song will be released right after the show.

They already have shows in those three weeks too, including this Thursday, so it's not like it's completely free time. Plus they had committed to 60 min. individual member Naver broadcasts this month, but those don't have to be elaborate. GD said he might drink and give relationship advice (ha!) to viewers for an hour; that's quality TV in my book.

I think the album will come out before the October tour dates, though, because there will be no time to work on anything through the end of the year. I am also betting YG's shareholders were told this fiscal year would have a full album release, so it won't be delayed as late as 2016.

I'd be really surprised if they're writing new stuff from scratch. It's rare an artist don't have more tracks to pick from than will fit on an album by the time they're planning a release, especially since the marketing called for a monthly rollout of singles and b-sides prior to the main event.

Oh yeah, totally... But at the same time there's a reason those tracks didn't make the cut the first time, you know? So even if they have the tracks they still might want to rearrange them a bit, or re-record the vocals.

So will they release it in December as that's the next time after September they don't have much of concerts? Anyhow YG should stop keeping his other artists in dungeon now and give Winner a comeback at the start of September and then debut iKON towards the end of that month (they can start teasing of their debut on September 15) and then give Lee Hi a comeback in some time November. Also I hope YG learns from this experience and never schedules a tour again to run at the same time as single/album promotions.

I think they've been on/off for years(she keeps leaving because his fans are batshit crazy + 1/both probably cheat with all the long distance). I know they were off a few months ago, but then they were seen~ at a hotel in Korea (it was like last month, I'm pretty sure their was a post about it).

Her instagram is so "enlightening", I always get a good laugh out of how ridiculous she is and how perfect they are for each other.

sooo there's this model that i just found out about bc she was hanging out with BB member when they had a concert in my country. and so i was curious why this girl suddenly looks so chummy w/them. then my friend told me that her colleague who works with this model in a shoot asked her how she get to know BB. apparently, when she went to Macau, GD just randomly asked for her number. and she wasnt even into kpop so she didn't know him. but then they skype each other a lot and GD gave her an all-access pass to her during the concert (which is just earlier this month) and she got to know the rest of the band. but then after, i heard it's seungri who aggressively trying to approach her lol and seungri only got back the next day, not on the same day with the others, bc he hung out with her

so there you go. not so juicy, but considering i thought GD is w/kiko this whole time...

Tell me why I heard through the grape vine a similar story as pseudo_shigure. My friend's bff is in the NYC fashion scene and ....I forget if he knows someone from Gds fashion crew or a model....either way said model worked in Seoul and Gd was trying to get her number and all this. lmao @ the idea that Kiko is his "cover". It makes sense, distract people with his "long-term" unofficial girlfriend while he sleeps around with every model within arms reach, and if paps ever get a pic he can just say GDxKiko was never a thing/they broke up. GENIUS!!!!

I'm looking forward to new music and their solo Naver broadcasts. TOP's one will probably be the worst even tho it's the one I want to see the most but I have a feeling he'll just mutter to himself bitterly or make weird rude jokes...I love him lol.
Daesung and Seungri should just do a show on their own, that would be perfect.

Makes sense since they've been running themselves ragged...concerts are where the money is so they'll keep those commitments but the final album promo could definitely be moved.

So iKON, Psy, Lee Hi, and Winner are going to move up. I say Lee Hi because she did that appearance on MAM with Suhyun before Hi Suhyun and she just did a SMTM4 appearance
