In my mind I thought they had originally had Taeyeon covering Jessica's part and then gave it to Sooyoung.

Edit: I think when Jessica had missed a performance before Taeyeon covered her, but then after she left the group Sooyoung took it. Also, Jessica covered Taeyeon's part when she was gone before, so that's why I might of been confused.

I think they used Sooyoung because she has that higher pitched voice like Jessica. Sooyoung fits because she's alternating with Sunny and their voices are very similar. Even though Sooyoung has the tone, she just needs more practice or maybe more confidence. I mean she sounds fine doing her lines in Party so I don't think this one is that much out of her range. Maybe it just sounds off cuz it's live. So I actually understand why they let Sooyoung cover that part, however, I think Sooyoung would sound better if she sang Jessica's part in a lower range preferably like how she sang her verse in Bad Girl.
