OH MY GOSH. Number one, a few podcasts: Serial and You Must Remember This. The latter is a podcast about old Hollywood but she is doing like an expose sort of thing on the Manson murders because a lot of unexpected people in Hollywood kinda knew him or met him. So yeah, not books but great.

Speaking of Manson though, the 'Helter Skelter' book is legendary as well as Anne Rule's 'A Stranger Beside Me' about Bundy. She actually was writing about the murders then found out that the serial killer was her friend, Ted. Such a bizarre coincidence but I just started and it is really good.

I just finished "The Cases that Haunt Us" which was written by the guy who literally wrote the book on FBI profiling. He goes through famous solved and unsolved cases (Like Jack the Ripper, Zodiac, JonBenet Ramsey, etc.) and gives the evidence and his opinion about the murder/murderer. He was a consultant on the JonBenet Ramsey case and it was really fascinating to see why he does not believe the parents were involved at all.

I'm currently reading "People Who Eat Darkness" about a girl who disappeared while she was in Japan. I just started it...I did skip the first few chapters though because it went through her early life and I really didn't care. I know that sounds awful but I don't need 3 chapters about her childhood/teenage years.

"Devil in the White City" is also interesting look at the world's fair and H.H.Holmes...I haven't started it at all but it's next on my list.

I'm barely surving through this awful heat wave... thank God I bought a fan few weeks ago, I even sleep with that thing on. It doesn't help I live in a cluttered flat and I can't even open window in my room :/ thanks dad.
My skin is terrible too... I recently found out how dehydrated it is and I'm trying to improve but no luck, maybe when it will get less hot and humid. Rose water mask is helping at least.
I went to some doctors last week as I had my blood checked. Funny I was suspected of anemia but the tests had shown complete opposite, I have polycythemia. Still not great tho, seems like there's a cause and it doesn't seem nice.

I just watched Oh My Ghost and my prediction came true :p even the things I thought are too good to be true considering how this drama is written. They are speeding things up (finally...) but I really do hope the preview is misleading...

I posted a comment about my heartbreak last week and one of you guys reply to me and included a rupaul's quote. So I decided to go ahead and watch Rupaul's drag race show and wow I love it!!! it's so entertaining hahaha

This might sound weird but it actually gave me strength to go through this process too~ they are very strong people who probably went through a lot because they are drag queens and they have confidence on doing what they are doing and look fabulous~ so I'm glad I got to watch that and even tho is not easy to get over someone, this show has definitely help me in some way.

I'm feeling better now, not gonna lie and say I don't feel sad sometimes but I want to believe that things happen for a reason and I should just learn from it and be content with other aspects in my life that are good~

i remember when we talked about getting over a crush a few weeks back! i was away for a bit on holiday so i didnt see any fffa posts so im sorry to hear what has happened to you (guys can be jerks, i apologise on behalf of my kind) but im super DUPER proud of you for doing better and staying strong! heartbreaks can suck and your initial period is sort of over, i know its cheesy but heartbreaks can be a bit like broken bones esp when they are one of the first few in your life. over time they will heal and now your initial pain is over which is good. now you just have to carry it in a cast for a bit before you can totally let it breathe again. life can seem really crap but dont worry for now, just think that he isnt the first and someone else who is much better fitted for you will come to your life and who can truly appreciate you for who you are! most guys are blind and have this dumb program in their heads that tells them to chase around the world to find their match when in reality there is a perfect match standing right in front of them and they regret it later trust me. dont let your mind sit on it for too long because it will make you upset so keep your head up high and try to stay busy and do things you like and enjoy, it will be over before you know it. big hugs <3

does anyone have the sims 4? i was waiting for the price to drop and it did but its still more than i want to pay. i cant believe there is only 1 expansion (i think) after almost a year.

i got sick of people at this website i diligently visited for the past couple years - they have a lot of fun posts but it's getting gross after they had a huge fight with this female-centric site and now they're excusing misogyny claiming that they're being egalitarian or whatever ugh and the day before there was a post with pictures of this comedian dressed up as the hog rider (yes with the blackface) and i wrote this long comment about how it's not okay and it shouldn't be funny and they went after me calling me a troll riling up trouble and this is only cosplay, blame the creators of the game for making a character etc etc etc there were some people defending me with other examples of why blackface is bad but i got like, over hundred downvotes and after all these "you are racist for thinking this is racist" "you don't defend all black people" "this is just humor" comments i was just like rme fuck this, i'm outta here. it's basically turned into reddit (actually it's exactly like reddit, composed of liberal men who keep diverting the attention to the "male discrimination" whenever feminist issues come up).
with that and the current controversy of people (aka men) coming up with names to call shitty moms as "mom bugs" or whatever i'm so sick of men and the internet.
i should just stick to twitter :(

man life is rough rn. :\ but some positive things have happened like me finding out only now about the new flagship lush on oxford street that i'm so excited to visit next time i'm there omg. apparently they have like 200 exclusive products. it's also high time i started building some kind of a make-up collection but i've been lazy about all the different brands and wanting to find cruelty-free stuff etc. etc. until i remembered lush's stuff is! i already have two make-up items from there so i'll probably just build a small collection using their stuff only. they have such an awesome colour selection.

something else in my life is that i recently visited the french city of montpellier for the first time. it was so gorgeous and the best place for shopping. i was dying over the clothes shops but they were so expensive rip

i also recently figured out i have blood sugar level issues which is hell on top of other eating issues i have but at least i know now why my vision blacks out when i stand up half the time and a bunch of other stuff. i thought it was anemia for a long time but the blood tests came back negative for that so i'm glad to have finally figured it out

This days i'm kind of mad at myself because I can't express in a language that I used to use every day when I was a kid. In fact there was some words I didn't know how to say it in spanish (my first language) because I basically used the other too often. Now coming back home after years living in another city, I lost a lot of practice. I understand it perfectly but it's so frustrating trying to speak it now and end up just saying the wrong word. I feel like I failed some part of myself. And it doesn't help that my sister is really good at it. Neither of my parents can speak it fluently because they weren't born in this region so even if my sister can speak it, it isn't used in my house. I guess i just need practice, but I can't stop being disappointed in myself.

Time flies - can't believe I still have just one more week before the new semester. One more year and then I'll be done with my program.

I've spent the past week cleaning up my room and there's so much stuff I want to donate or throw away. I got rid of like 60% of my book collection. I know myself better now and the kinds of books that I want to read and keep. Opened one of my secondhand books and saw that someone had written a message to her friend wishing happy birthday and well wishes for her Europe trip. Thought that was really sweet; books make awesome gifts.

Now, on to an important life issue. So I was scrolling through tumblr, minding my business, just living my life when THIS happened



By the end, I was so moved I had goosebumps! My scalp was bald! I was speechless! His vocal tone?! UNF!!!
I don't even speak Korean but this dude's delivery and talent had me like 'you betta say that shit!'
What the hell! Who gave him the right?! And the awestruck faces of the other rappers watching him were amazing tbh.
Then I saw him sample one of my fave rare MJ songs and my thirst went into overdrive on the spot lol

Why isn't he more famous?! All I've found out so far aside from the fact that he's TOO beautiful and unreasonably talented is he was almost in BTS? I need him to have a full album, an international tour and father my children, HELP.
Lol and there I was thinking TOP was my fave of all the kpop men I've seen so far but this dude is serious competition for TOP in my heart.

i had the most mentally (and a bit physically) exhausting week that was supposed to be a holiday. so lame.
now i'm planning actual holidays to be able to go on. work is pretty intense these days, i feel like i either need a change or start my own business or something.
i've met this guy with whom we're really into each other for a while now, but we keep on moving to places where the other one just have moved out of. i guess it's not meant to be.
oh well, here's the weekend, i'm going to try and do some sports and read.

i went to edinburgh with my friends for a week and it was so beautiful! we went partly for the fringe festival but we also did touristy things, hit up clubs, saw some landscapes. one day we decided to climb a 250m mountain at 4am to see the sunrise. it was so breathtaking i couldnt believe it, it was as if the world stopped around me. best part was that my friend climbed it in a maxi skirt and heels (wtf?!?!?!) i now want to live in edinburgh and im jealous of every scottish person because scotland is soo beautiful.

i also got a piercing done. i have to wait 6 weeks before i can change it which is fair enough but the wait is killing me. on top of that i woke up at 3am with my bed sheets, pillows etc being full of blood and my nose becoming the new niagara falls. i hope its because its still new otherwise im screwed :/

also has anyone ever bought a signed kpop cd? i want to buy t-aras but idk if its legit :(((

omg, you're giving me flashbacks, i haven't climbed arthur's seat since i was a teenager. every time we go to edinburgh i'm thinking 'wouldn't it be nice if we did' and never bring it up, mostly because i'm bullying my family for going to dynamic earth without me two years ago (it's the science centre at the bottom of one part of the mountain and i will never forgive them). i can only imagine how pretty the sunrise is from there, it's gorgeous enough during the daytime.

i had such a good week!! my best friend came back from her year in japan and we spent 3 continuous days together and we also hung out with some old friends last night and it was amazing to catch up. we also watched magic mike 2 and it was sf enjoyable! especially that last dance of mike ksdaj we were all under the seats

and today i found out the neighbourhood are finally preparing to release a new album soon <3 i hope it's amazing, i need it to be to take me out of my kpop playlist for a few days at least

Somehow instead of going tomorrow to a Birthday Party held at a Salsa bar, I ended up with arrangements to babysit 4 children at once. Going to be fun that's for sure.

Good thing is one of the girls loves Db5k's Balloons and will be on her best behaviour to watch the MV just once and her baby sister is just an angel. Not sure about the other two though. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised by them :D

hiiii omona. how's ur week been?
i was actually a little productive this week, in that i took care of a ticket i got because a cop pulled me over for my registration being A DAY late. so that was a fun $150 to spend. then i went and got fingerprinted at the local school district office so i can get my fingerprint clearance card and start subbing soon hopefully! and lastly, i had my first meeting with this diabetes educator so i can finally start getting my diabetes on track after 11 years. i just hope i havent done too much long term damage to myself in that time!

also, im going to hawaii at the end of september! my dad is going on business & im tagging along because why not? we'd never be able to afford going otherwise! so im super excited. we're going to be on oahu and staying in honolulu, so if anyone has any recs of things to do i'm all ears! im thinking of doing a lost tour or something, because im the biggest lost nerd so i think it would be really cool lol. i have to occupy myself alone for like 4 days!
