Because the only other source who reported this is banned, I used google translate (lmao) to get some info from the original article.

- Delacroix is a sub-brand of Claires (also the product placement in her MV)
- the campaign/line is called Cheetah Edition
- the line will debut later this month and she's directly involved in planning it
- the CF will debut on 'Style Life' (a beauty/makeup show she's MC-ing)

Ooh! A beauty post, man I'm such a fail when it comes to beauty products and makeup. I'm so strict about certain things and then I'm hopeless about other things.

Like, I'm really proud of my nail polish collection, but that's about it. I'm a fan of the "make it look like you're not wearing makeup" look, because I'm just not confident enough to go out in anything else. Also, no matter how much I practice, I just can't get the hang of eyeliner.

On the plus side, my skin and hair care routine, seems pretty good. I really like using lush products, the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser works really well. As does the Imperialis face cream.

For eyeliner, maybe you're not using the right type of liner? Some are easier to use when you want to wing. I find retractable and crayon eyeliner really difficult wing out for exemple. I've also watched make up tutorials but I just don't use their technique, because they start from the bottom and make a straight line they fill up afterwards, which looks kinda weird. I prefer a more natural look, I usually make a curve that follows the natural curve of my eye shape and make it look like a prolongation of my eye tbh.

do they sell catrice or essence in your country, OP?
they have some pretty good mascaras. i love love love the catrice "lashes to kill" (with the red stripes), my all-time fave mascara. or try essence's "multi-action", its their best-selling mascara and people adore it in my country.

Wow, I didn't know about that Catrice mascara and I love Catrice! Mainly their nail polish and blushes though, they are so good!

I've raved about it here before but the Isehan Heroine Make mascara (waterproof) is literally the best mascara I've ever worn. I've heard the volume and curl version isn't as good, but the lengthening kind is amazing. I don't generally wear volume/curl mascara but I've tried Lancome's volumizing mascara and I wasn't a fan, so you can skip that one :p

I just recently bought Maybelline's shine free loose powder and it works pretty well at keeping your face matte if you have a tendency to get oily throughout the day like I do. I also just got Wet N Wild's Fergie shimmer pallete in rose champagne glow (I know, it's Wet n Wild + Fergie) but I saw such great reviews for it and it was only about 5 bucks for a ton of product so I figured why not. HOLY COW it is a fantastic highlighter if you have fairer skin. It just makes you look really glowy and luminous without being glittery. They have darker shades as well which I haven't tried but I highly recommend it.

I love makeup but I so rarely get a chance to wear it. Right now I'm more focused on my skin as I'm in my early 30s. I love love love the stuff I've been getting in a Korean beauty box subscription because of the skincare items.

As for mascara, I have tiny lashes unlike my husband and sons. A trick I use to make them look fuller is to apply eyeliner in my top lashline. I've never gotten the hang of false eyelashes and since I so rarely wear makeup (less than once a week) I just don't bother. I have a yearly Birchbox subscription so I'm usually trying out a new mascara from them. The most recent standout has been Laura Gellar GlamLash. Very dramatic and yet natural looking.

yes! a beauty post!

definitely go for too faced's better than sex mascara! everyone's been talking bout this and honestly, its worth the hype. the volume it gives is crazy! but since i don't really wear mascara that aren't waterproof, i didn't use that as much as my other favorite waterproof mascaras (maxfactor's flase lash effect, maybelline's rocket volum express, smashbox's full exposure)

Anyone has a moisturizer with sunscreen or a sunscreen for face that don't make your face oily and shiny to recommend?

Date: 2015-08-11 06:12 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kinokai.livejournal.com
Japanese sunscreens are my absolute favorites!
The Biore Sarasara UV Watery Essence is the most comfortable sunscreen i've ever used. It has like a gel consistency? And dries matte on the face, once it's absorbed I can't feel it at all.
If you're not interested in that one, I'd recommend looking into other Japanese brands like Skin Aqua,

I only wear dark red lipstick colours. They are the only ones that I think work for me and the only colours I can tolerate.

this is making me crave burgundy products. she looks so good in darker colours but that was half the reason i loved how acid trip her music video was, in contrast to her usual image. basically she could wear a binbag and i'd probably find her attractive tbh
in beauty news my face rash came back again but now it's spreading down my neck and shoulders so i haven't been able to wear any makeup lately :( on the plus side my new job requires that i don't wear any makeup or nail varnish so i can be as plain jane as possible, which is kind of nice. i have a doctor's appointment on friday morning where i'm going to be like 'eczema??!?' and hopefully get a stronger cream or something. it sucks though, i just bought new lipsticks recently and i haven't had a chance to really try them out cause my face looks like shit.

Cheetah and makeup are a match made in heaven. I know her line wont make me as flaw free as her but I'd still buy it.

Ok Omona, I need a $10 or less BB cream for dark skin. (like Rihanna skin tone) Any suggestions?

op i swear by etude house's waterproof lash perm (the packaging is light pink but the bottle itself is black with blue writing) or ysl's effet faux cils - both give CRAZY good volume (i have short sparse asian lashes) length and curl, and also stay put (i wear lenses and have a tendency for sensitive/watery eyes). etude house is way easier to remove though (it's a tubing mascara so just rubs off with warm water), the ysl is a NIGHTMARE to try and remove even with a lot of oil based removers

edit: oops i didnt realise it was you buni!! haha hope you're doing good :D

Oooh, so I'm guessing the lipstick she's wearing is from that line? B/c it looks really good! I think I might check this out.

OP, I've changed to the Benefit They're Real! mascara a while ago, and even though it's a bit pricier than I'd like it to be I'm still really happy that I bought it. I think that it lengthens my eyelashes a bit, is not clumpy/is good at seperating my lashes, and is decent at holding a curl.

I've recently finally bought the NYX Milk eye pencil, b/c I heard that it's a good base if you want to maintain the intensity of your eyeshadows. That it is, but my eyelids are quite hooded, so much of the eyeshadow still ended up in the crease (? between the upper and lower part of the lid) over the course of the day. :( That happens to me so much. Does anyone know an effective way to prevent that? (Primer only seems to help so much ... at least the one I use.)

Subscription boxes?

Date: 2015-08-11 11:48 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] magicpineapple.livejournal.com
I'm interested in maybe signing up for a makeup subscription box. I live in the US, & would love to try out Korean/Japanese makeup/skincare, but the options are overwhelming! I think if I tried out a subscription box, it might make my foray into the K/J-beauty world. Does anyone have any recommendations for K/J-beauty subscription boxes? how many times can I say subscription boxes in this post, damn. lmao

Or just tell me about some of your fav beauty boxes, what company you used, how much it was a month, what kinds & sizes & brands of goodies that you got inside, etcetc! 😁 💄 💅 👑 💁
