i finally went a hand doctor a few days ago and i officially have carpal tunnel and some tendonitis :( i basically have to wear wrist braces (they're from walgreens but still look ridiculous) as much as possible for six weeks, ughhh. but i'll be in korea in two weeks so yayyy

Any Aussies here heading to see BIGBANG when they come? I managed to get pretty decent tickets for their show in Melbourne during the pre-sale, so I'm pretty psyched about that! The tickets were disappearing so quickly that at one point I was worried I wasn't going to get anything at all. They officially go on-sale on Monday at 9am (AEST obvs), so I'm going to have one more shot at getting what I want (GA standing in Sydney), but I'm not going to be too devastated if I have to stick with Melbourne. I'm tempted to go for VIP for shits and giggles but they literally sold out in seconds during the pre-sale so idk if there will be any left for the general sale :|a Either way, I'm just pleased that I'll get to see BIGBANG live!

In other news, I've been really amping up my health/fitness and I think I can see/feel a bit of a change in my body? I wore short-ish shorts to lunch yesterday and I actually felt pretty confident in them! Now I just have to stick with it, lmao

Oh, and I've become a bit obsessed with GFRIEND's 'Me Gustas Tu'. That dance.............

Last week of "I remember you" 😢. I really enjoyed this drama. This year has been great for kdramas. I place it second after "Healer". Excellent acting, Writing and directing.
I just started "Yong Pal". It looks very promising :) shady/ conflicting/complex lead character...I think Joo Won will shine.

I started "I remember you" with 0 expectation, only because seo in guk and jang nara were the main couple and god knows how I love these two. but it's a really good drama, with a consistent writing. they don't put the plot twists or revelations only at the end of an episode, but right in the middle when you're not expecting at all...

hey, omona! i hope you all are having a lovely week and the weather is great for you guys! we had a thunder/lightening storm last night and it was pretty scary and beautiful at the same time since i was outside the entire time ><

my birthday was on wednesday and i turned 20!! i can't legally ~!!turn up!!~ but i'm no longer in my teens, so that's okay. i don't usually celebrate my birthday, but a few friends of mine wanted to take me out but an hour and a half after they were supposed to pick me up, they all texted me saying they couldn't go out anymore (work, life, and whatnot). ngl i did cry bc i usually feel quite lonely on my birthday and it was a big disappointment they couldn't have told me beforehand (i did my makeup and hair, gdi!!!!!). plus it didn't help that my parents and older brother forgot it was my birthday too ;n; but!!! it's okay because my little brother knocked on my door at 12am with his stuffed penguin plushie and wished me a happy birthday ;u;

I'm moving soon for grad school and I'm incredibly sad and I know I'll probably cry every night for the first semester and question if it's really worth it and consider dropping out etc etc...
Basically I'm just stressed af ($40,000 a year!!!) and super sad about leaving my parents (I'm the baby by 10 yrs so I'm really attached)
Idk if I'll even be able to talk to my parents on the phone without crying lmao and I'm an adult

I'M SO SCARED OF STARTING COLLEGE ;__;

idk how i'm gonna do tuition we have 0 money but my financial aid only covers 1/3 of tuition
and apparently we're supposed to buy materials for each assignment????!!!! why do they expect freshmen to have money for this, some are rich but a lot of us can barely afford basic school supplies. why does parsons do this. risd does not do this ;((((((

my dad still has no job and it's been like 6 months and my mom makes very little, i couldn't work this summer bc of my injury and i never paid my hospital bill so idk what's gonna happen in the future
i really really REALLY hope we'll be okay

my sister has to go to long term psych facility even tho she's fine now and insurance is not paying for it but hopefully medicaid will. i just wish she'd be able to go back to school

anyway yesterday i had a water gun fight at my friend's house and we got so wet i didn't need a shower haha. this friend got VIP TICKETS TO BIG BANG CONCERT IN THE FALL OMGGG they were like 400 dollars too, should be worth it

I'll be really honest - if you are in this financial circumstance, I would recommend withdrawing and applying to another art school, with full disclosure of your family's financial situation. You will be surprised by how generous art schools are, especially becase there are many rich donors who will want to do it. Look into MICA? They have a great program that really supports low income and diverse students.

I actually want to participate in a writing contest and it's theme is racism. Anyone wants to share his/her experiences/thoughts on it?

I thought about writing some of the stuff I experienced myself, but then I was thinking about omona and the many instances it made me think about racism (stuff i never really perceived as racism or frankly never knew about), so I thought it would be pretty interesting to hear others actually, since I really only experienced it from one side.
Right now it's a bit in forum-style added with my own thoughts and I'm thinking about how to incorporate/explain all the k-pop stuff or if I can actually leave it out.

I have an interview on Monday, but I just found out that I'll be moving out of state at the end of the month. If I get the job, I'll have to quit in less then a month -- should I still take the interview, or back out? Or should I let them know about my move beforehand?
