SM has issued a press release:

"We have discussed future plans with Sulli, who is currently taking a break with a minimal schedule, and have decided to respect her wishes to leave f(x) and focus on her acting career. The group f(x) will continue as a four-person group with Victoria, Luna, Amber, and Krystal. SM Entertainment plans to support f(x) in its group activities and the individual members' independent projects, as well as Sulli's activities."

Tbh, I think this is like putting the last stone in f(x)'s grave. Vic and Krystal are kinda safe, i feel like Luna (even with all her potential) and specially Amber will flop once or twice in music/shows, and then, Kibum/Jino's fate. And Sully, she's pretty, but i don't know how long that can maintain or build a career (although there are many actors who are just pretty faces and lack of talents, so...)

That was somewhat expected (for me at least) and rather anti-climatic considering the way she went on hiatus. But I guess similar to Jessica, the leaving the group/halting group activities part was loud and dramatic and it's probably in SM's best interests to be peaceful and low key about it (especially with all the lawsuits involving the Chinese ex-members they have going on).

I'm pretty disappointed but obviously not surprised. Red Light comeback was amazing, sound and looks wise and I wished their promotions were longer. Sulli does add a visual interest to me personally, I think she's gorgeous and her voice sounds pretty even if she's not a great singer. Hopefully since we've seen her do photoshoots during her f(x) hiatus this means SM will actually continue to support her.

Tbh they all need to leave the group. F(x) has been and always will be the red headed step child of SME and Sulli knew this from the jump which is why she's been over it since they debuted. Krystal could focus on acting and fashion, Victoria can slay with her chinese dramas, Luna can maybe go solo or do musicals, and Amber can go on to be a Korean social media mogul.
