I was meh about the song at first but I love it now after listening to it a second time its definitely a ear worm but side eyeing jyp like why are they in swim suits? if they were performing at a beach or something ok I would understand that aesthetic but they are performing in a dark lit room like why
I think they were trying to bring in a more "modern" feel (I can't think of another word) mixed in with the 80s theme kind of like what the song is like, but I agree with you and kind of wish they just went all out 80s.
I love everything about this song and this era. They look great & sound great. I'm always here for a synthy 80s pop song. Lim looks so comfortable, which is something I wasn't quite getting in their previous releases. I'm like hardcore geeking out over them and the album (Baby Don't Play!)
It's 6 a.m here and I'm only awake because I couldn't sleep waiting for this. I love it so much (even more the MV than the song) and I have so many feelings that I feel bad for however isn't into this 80s style. Those old dance moves!! I already can see myself giving it all while listening it. They all look so beautiful, and this style suits so good Lim. It feels refreshing to watch an MV when the girls have "sexy" scenes without worry about if they are comfortable with it. We know WG's opinion is heard and valued. And my babies are number 2 right now at Melon. Now I'm going to listen the rest of the album.
Really love the instrumentals and the overall sound, but the vocals and chorus are pretty weak (the rap?). It's ok, I think I'll like the rest of the album better. They are killing it with the 80s aesthetic though.

This. This is my aesthetic. Feeling blessed with two of the best mvs of the year coming out within a day of each other lol.
I did kind of want some power vocals and crazy harmonies but I know it wouldn't fit the mood of the song or the ranges of Sunmi and Lim so I think they made a good decision releasing this track. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the album!!
Edit: oh nooooooo just listened to Baby Don't Play. Somebody (JYP) fucked up in not choosing that as the title track D: Edit 2: so I'm continuing to listen to the rest of the album and I feel like someone... definitely... made a mistake... Maybe they chose I Feel You bc the vocals are more evenly distributed? Idk idk. Lemme just order this album though.
They chose I Feel You because that's the song written and produced by JYP. The rest if the songs were composed by other producers/the members and written by the members
The music, particularly when they're not singing is a bit too stereotypical 80s for me, but I know that is what they were going for, so I can't complain to much.
I love this so much!! So much nostalgic feels, I mean, just seeing them together is making me spazz! And it's perfectly 80s. Funky Robert Palmer vibes!
