omonatheydidXiumin is currently in the process of filming his first movie, Kim Seon Dal and his fans organized a massive amount of support for him.
Today, the gifts, meal, and coffee/bingsoo car support for ‘Kim Seondal’ went through. We were told Minseok enjoyed the food and worked hard during his filming. He said that he was thankful and that he received a lot of strength on his shoulders like boom! because of fans. Thank you, everyone.
Fun fact: Xiu ordered Japanese apricot tea from the coffee cart and true to form, the phrase trended afterwards.
Gifts for his co-stars
They got him customzied umbrellas and a chair and what looks like the contents of an entire pharmacy.

Thanks to you guys I received an embarrassingly large amount of thank you’s today;;

I’ll gladly relay all the thank you’s I received today towards you guys.

I honestly gave this a lot of thought and I’ve come to the decision that the only way I can repay this is to only try my hardest to film this movie and have it turn out well so I can show the good result to you guys. Will this be okay…>..< “

But Kyungsoo and Chanyeol have a lot of public recognition as well (and I'm not totally sure if public recognition = popularity)

He once showed up on an episode of Running Man for a split second (literally just a shot of him in the background) and his name placed #1 all-kill as the most searched on Daum, Nate, and Naver. It all (kinda) started with ~mocha bread incident. He ate a piece of bread on a broadcast for about 5 seconds and slayed all the real-time searches. Not only that, but the next day all mocha bread in almost bakeries over Korea sold out. His popularity is a little out of this world.
Within the EXO fandom I'd say average popularity? Not the most talked about but never hated.

Before any members started on solo activities, Xiumin was most known to the public because of his trending (wolf-growl period). He accumulated a lot of fans during that period. My korean friends who aren’t kpop fans only knew him because there was much news and buzz about him.
As for now, since some exo members have embarked on solo activities, I would say Kyungsoo/Chanyeol/Suho/Xiumin are the members with better public recognition than the rest of their teammates.
Exo fandom in Korea:
This is difficult to gauge because it depends if you whether regard popularity in terms of goods sales & fansupport or number of fans?
Kyungsoo/Xiumin/Baek/Kai are the more popular members in Korea. Kai and Xiumin are the members most well known for having an older fanbase and the most noona fans among korean fans so their fan support are more extravagant. Xiumin has many noona of fans in their late 20s-30s, probably also why people think his fandom is quiet but when his stuff comes out, they go all out. They have big spending power which is why he sells out one of the fastest for merchandises that exo endorses (Spao/MCM/Lotte Duty Free - expensive stuff), concert goods and SM Coex merchandise. This is just based on my observation and what I’ve asked from korean exo fans.
Then again, exo members are all very popular so it isn’t like there’s a huge gap between members.

Interesting. So while you'd say Suho has more public recognition in Korea, he's not necessarily one of the most popular ones (I keep hearing that his merchandise doesn't sell very well).
And some have claimed Baek lost too much popularity with Oreogate (lol still can't believe that happened), but you think he's maintained most of it? (He always seems like one of the most visible members to me)

Yes about Suho. Public knows Suho because SM puts him out more on broadcast than most members. They recognise him as the leader.
Baek's fandom is young, so they're fickle. His fandom was so huge (clearly #1) before oreogate, so even with the loss he's still the top few. I don't think it was a huge loss but more like other members, Xiumin and Kai caught up fast so comparatively it looks like he lost out a lot?
They are pretty close but I think Kai has better birthday fan support from korean fans. Their c-fandom makes up for it though, so sometimes it may look like Sehun/Chanyeol has better merchandise sales than the rest.

I think Xiumin's fan support is getting the buzz on instiz because of the attention to detail. They gave out cigarettes to the male staffs (i don't think anyone has done this before) and pads/tampons to female staffs. Even the actors and directors all got different stuff according to their needs/likes. Usually movie support just give the same thing to the entire crew.
I saw commenters on instiz amazed by it and calling it legendary (prob among exo fandom).
