f(x) Diligently Preparing for a New Album, to Come Out This Year

As the girl group summer battle goes on, interest in unique group f(x)’s situation has raised.

f(x) debuted in 2009 with 5 multicultural members, Victoria from China, Amber from the US, and members Luna, Krystal and Sulli from Korea. Since then they’ve promoted various hit songs like ‘La chA TA’, ‘Chu’, ‘NU ABO’, ‘Pinocchio’, ‘Hot Summer’, ‘Electric Shock’, ‘Rum Pum Pum Pum’ and ‘Red Light’.

f(x), taking pride in their music and performances full of individuality, not long after their debut they became a top girl group.

Especially after the release of 2nd full album ‘Pink Tape’ with title song ‘Rum Pum Pum Pum’ in July 2013 and 3rd full album ‘Red Light’ with a title song of the same name in July 2014, f(x) have been established in the recent years as a summer group, and thus there has been much interest in their comeback. As there has been over a year since ‘Red Light’, fans have become curious about their return to the music industry.

As a result of Star News’ coverage, although f(x) won’t release a new album this summer, they are planned to meet fans with new songs within this year.

An f(x) representative revealed on the 28th: “f(x) are currently diligently producing and preparing a new album” and added, “although the exact release date hasn’t been decided yet, a new album will come out within this year”.

I want Luna to have her time to shine to give her a good base for after f(x), since the others are already over it or will be fine.

This whole month I was listening to Red Light and crying bitter stan tears because I honestly didn't know if they were going to disband or implode or ever come back. I wish I had any idea what's going on with Sulli, there's been contradictory information and I don't know what to believe anymore. I felt sorry for Amber and Luna especially, because they seem so passionate about the group and performing in general, you can tell they have been waiting for the next challenge for a long time. Being held back by this mess (whatever it is) must have been really frustrating for them.

I'm still of the faith that this is Sulli's #amber'sdeadandpregnant hiatus, but no matter what f(4)/f(5) will slay the game.

Hoping for f(4) tbqh, Sulki just tends to drag the whole perf down + it's not like she actually has a lot of (important) lines lol. Let her spend her time away, & let the ones who wanna be there, be there. Although I'm also nhf Krystal acting like she doesn't wanna be there, too, so hopefully now that Jessigate died down, she'll be a bit happier till her contract runs out (then she can run far far away & be happy~)
