So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah to Star in New KBS Drama “Oh My God”

Actors So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah will be returning to the small screen through the same production!

On July 17, the representatives of both actors’ agencies, revealed, “The two of them have confirmed their casting in ‘Oh My God.’”

With this upcoming drama, So Ji Sub will be making a comeback to the small screen after about two years since starring in the 2013 SBS drama “Master’s Sun,” while this will be Shin Min Ah’s first drama in a bout three years since starring in MBC’s “Arang and the Magistrate” in 2012.

“Oh My God” is a new Monday-Tuesday KBS romantic comedy that follows a man and woman who have a long history since childhood. Both of them challenge themselves to a diet after becoming adults and the story focuses on their journey of searching for love and health.

The title of this drama accurately reflects my emotions. Everytime I see their Giordano ads, I think to myself that I would love to see them in a romcom!!!! And now that'll be reality!!!!!

Even though the diet part is -.- highly questionable. But I won't let that flatten my excitement too much.

sbs really did her dirty. they've postponed her show twice since she confirmed. assholes. screw them tbh, sbs are such a mess lately

hmm well i did hear that they couldn't lock down a leading man - sbs said themselves they wanted a 'top star' to match mina's star power, and i think they were after someone like kim woo bin (apparently they offered it to him but he declined) when he was too young for the role anyway (not like they care). they couldn't seem to get any other top stars interested, probably bc it sounds like a pretty mundane show (about ppl who connect through food) and didn't have enough a good enough 'hook' (i.e. not being about chaebols, vampires, or split personality disorder) to do well in their eyes.

also sbs have several shows up for the wed/thurs timeslot after mask (mina's drama was just one show of many) and in the end they gave it to yongpal bc makjang (plus joo won and kim tae hee are both super popular) = ratings. and sbs are desperate for ratings rn (they've switched the writers for the in time with you remake twice bc they're so desperate for it to do well) and they're only gonna greenlight smth with ratings potential :/

I wish they weren't so damn hung up on the 'star power' nonsense, why the fuck couldn't they just cast an actually talented actor of the right age? If Park Hae Jin hadn't been doing Cheese in the Trap I would have wanted him for this one. Either him or Kim Jae Wook. (sadly my #1 option Lee Min Ki is off in the army)

tbh i don't get the hype around part hae jin (looking forward to cheese in the trap tho).

a lee min ki/shin mina pairing would be super interesting. i want mina to work with all my faves (she's already worked with lee jun ki + jo jung seok so yay). i really miss lee min ki :/

i was rooting for her to be in the SBS with SJS since they said the male lead would be someone of equal star power but then they indefinitely postponed her drama which is bullshit.

YAAAAAAS. I honestly thought they were both going to be in the SBS drama but then SBS was grossed & halted her drama. I'm glad she left and reunited with SJS!

the plot sounds...... but i have faith it'll be at least decent if not great.
