Yoo Jae Suk Officially Signs with FNC Entertainment

It has been revealed that the nation’s MC, Yoo Jae Suk, has found his new home at FNC Entertainment!

On July 16, FNC Entertainment officially confirmed through a press release, “Yoo Jae Suk has signed an exclusive contract with FNC on July 16.”

On this decision, Yoo Jae Suk has expressed, “I’m very happy to be with my close colleagues at a good company.”

FNC Entertainment is also home to comedian Jung Hyung Don, and comediennes Song Eun Yi and Lee Gook Joo, as well as groups like CNBLUE, FTISLAND, AOA, and actors including Lee Dong Gun, Lee Da Hae, Jung Woo, and more.

Yoo Jae Suk previously promoted on his own after starting up his own one-man agency, JS Entertainment, and this is the first time in about five years that he has signed with another agency.

I'm a fan of FNC groups (+ Juniel) but not FNC itself. CEO is shit and a tryhard, management is also pretty sloppy besides some AOA hype. I've genuinely felt sorry for all these people that have joined FNC the past 2 years or so.

I mean they're not the worst company out there but he can do better.

Awwwwww this makes me sad for some reason. I don't know why Seijoon is good friends with FNC ceo. Seijoon is shy and awkward and doesn't want to be infront of the cameras. They seem so different.


A bit OT why aren't people rushing to Jellyfish??? Sung sikyung has an 80:20 division deal.
sikyung, Seo Inguk, and Vixx are all doing well for themselves. CEO gifted Ravi (and i believe Taekwoon too) computers and composing gizmos and each have their own rooms for composing in the building because those are the two that showed interest in songwriting/composing. Hyoshin has his own legal problems which sucks but iirc Jelpi pawned their old building to help him pay his debt with his previous company.

FNC artist who composed have their studio office as producer in FNC and they have their own recording studio in the building ^^

Every group has their own practice room, building has it's own gym, cafeteria and recreation room ^^

I'm glad he isn't in SM, and FNC has grown a lot so I kinda get it, I wonder what kinda deals they made to get him to join though.

I know that package deals is a method of promotion and more but FNC does it so obviously it's a bit annoying and I hope they don't do it to him.

I think YJS has been struggling managing himself for a while..and he seems not the ambitious type to make his own company..so join an agency so they can do the administration work and he can focus in performing is a good decision.
The big agencies which have MCs/Entertainers/Comedians in their rosters currently are SM C&C, YGE and FNC.
I don't think he would join C&C since they already have Shin Dongyup, Kang Hodong and Kim Byungman.
YGE is still new in handling this and they often have troubles with broadcast stations..I also think they don't match their style.
So FNC seems the feasible choice.
I just hope FNC will do well in managing him..

They basically always throw another person in when somebody's got a job, like Yonghwa got first lead - let's put Minhyuk in the drama too, lately Jonghyun+Seolhyun in Orange Marmalade, Hongki+Mina+one young actor rookie in Mondern Farmer. I don't remember exactly but there was some case when they screw Yonghwa up bc of this i.e he doesn't sign for ther role at the end? (FNC stans, help me here)

re: Yonghwa yeah he was originally supposed to be in Heirs but he got taken out all of a sudden.
Producers/FNC claimed it was "his decision" but apparently he was actually really excited about the drama and looked depressed at a fanmeeting after the news came out so that made the statement dodgey af
The dreaded FNC packaging was the very likely reason, probably wanted to throw in other idol or predebut-idol actors and also some OST. Producers probably disagreed and FNC threw a tantrum.
In the end the packaging still kinda went through, bc both Minhyuk got a (different) role and Hongki sang an OST for Heirs. And Yonghwa got another role in Marry Me If You Dare around that time, which FNC also got a bit of control over (apparently they co-produced it and Yuna sang an OST)

I mean he's no good actor and Heirs was dreadful so he dodged a bullet, but peeves me off that FNC screwed things up for Yonghwa yet let him take the blame and netizens drag him for being "so arrogant that he thinks he can turn down roles as he pleases" :/
