Date: 2015-07-15 03:26 am (UTC)i actually feel like this year hasn't really been that bad for the summer of girl groups. if anything i'm taking FAR more issue with the choreography than the song themselves.
um ah oh yeah > hurt locker > shake it > heart attack > ring my bell > party
mamamoo sells EVERY song even when i dont like it the first time i hear it. tho i always enjoy them more live than i do in recording. but that's mamamoo's greatest strength, IMO they have some of the best stage presence in all of kpop. hurt locker is a GREAT song---easily the most dynamic dance track from a girl group this summer. i'm VERY proud of nine muses for this release it's a shame it's not charting well. i honestly don't kno why ppl r so pressed about shake it, lol (not saying, u're pressed obvi). the song is perfect for the summer and the choreography isn't the BEST but it's so much fun and sistar also has the advantage of being able to sell their songs live, REALLY well.
heart attack is a great summer song but it's dated and the choreography is so damn embarrassing, i can't even watch their live performances. ring my bell is just shameful. i hate when teasers sound better than the actual track. it's weak and the choreography is cheap and i KNO they can do better so i'm mad about it. party is not a title song and it's ridiculous that SNSD r still doing this concept. there's a way to be cute and fun but party in image and sound takes it to eye-roll inducing levels.
but even with all that said, i'm not mad at the releases we've gotten so far this summer. it's still better than 90% of what boy groups r putting out (tho got7 went and surprised me with their new song) so i'd rather have them dominate the summer than the other way around.

I just don't feel Shake It... I find the song so boring and lack the dynamic that Sistar usually has. I usually LOVE all their songs, but this one is so disappointing. Don't even get me started on the dance... oh my...
I'm just waiting for SNSD's other song because I will never get over them promoting Party with that dance. They look like a debut group. It's more insulting that they are winning... sigh.

On other news, Sunny's condition has already worsened according to some fan accounts of today's music show. She's being helped to move around by her manager and she's back to using a pain relief patch on her tummy. :/
Go on and keep dragging her down for not trying "hard enough" or telling her to "keep her shit together and sort her shit out". It blows my mind that people here have defended boy idols like Kai, Tao & Luhan so passionately (and not without reason) but don't show the same concern for her even after she's talked about the two injuries on both her knees and ribs before.

Date: 2015-07-15 10:26 am (UTC)she was slutshamed on net for dating baekhyun, had tons of haters who flooded her ig, and probs had to deal w/ the fact that she keeps problems to herself. that same post she was called trash by a lot of ppl. probably the only couple who was shamed so much here in omona. i made a post about her crying or near tears at the airport and had to look for a fan who can help translate to share her message to other ppl. well guess what? the same person who'd preach about how tough idol life is, who'd defend kris luhan and the others, that fans should just boycott sm stuff so that sm could wake up and treat their idols better comes into the post and calls her an attention-seeker. and drags taeyeon bec "how could she cry over smth like this when t-ara's having a hard time w/ all the bullying rumours she's nothing but an attention-seeker!!" an idol ends up crying on public, and that's how she sees it. lol now whenever she goes and preach her words i can't help but always side-eye her. i havent been seeing her lately so.. yeah. and lately another one brought up her crying incident and made fun of her for it.
tbh i can name a few times newer girl groups fcking up and if it were taeyeon who'd be that person, she'll prob be ripped apart here.

I would bet pain has something to do with her not being all smiles and sunshine during performances.

The user above me was right with their double standards comment. Oppar is injured "oh, it's so commendable how he has this athlete's mindset/He is still injured, but must perform anyway, lol/Let him rest!" but the same happens to a girls group member, and "nah, she must not be seriously hurt/she just doesn't give a fuck". She is making an effort not to miss her schedules.
