Something that’s right in front of your eyes is sometimes the hardest for you to see. Jang Ha Na (Ha Ji Won) and Choi Won (Lee Jin Wook) have been lifelong friends. Through thick and thin, they’ve been through many things together in the nearly 20 years of friendship, including relationships that each has had with other people.

Approaching her 30th birthday, Ha Na receives an email from Won that jokes about the “symptoms of premature aging.” Angry about the widely held belief that men are like grapes that turn into a fine bottle of wine as they age while women are like grapes that shrivel up into raisins, Ha Na makes a bet with Won that she can get married first before they turn 35.

Will Ha Na and Won be able to find their true loves or have they been blind to what’s been there all along?

“The Time I’ve Loved You (aka The Time We Were Not in Love)” is a 2015 South Korean dramas series directed by Jo Soo Won. It is a remake of the popular 2011 Taiwanese drama “In Time With You.”

I watched the Taiwanese version and loved it. And it kept my interest throughout.

This version is cute, but... I don't know why, but so far it feels really really draggy. But I love the chemistry between Ha Na & Won!

I watched the taiwanese version too. I know what you mean. I'm still watching the drama but only for ha ji won.
I think the writers changed the concept of won having a girlfriend to emphasize that he truly loves Ha Na and only Ha na does not know it.

Every episode I remember how much I love-hate the original. Imo this is a bad (and unnecessary) remake, but the cast makes it worthwhile.

They made the female lead worst (she comes off super child most of the time childish). I loled @ her nemesis calling out her hormone focused work-ethic. The male lead is such a wuss. That ending kiss should be sweet, but all I could think was the fact that this would be really creep if she isn't able to see that it's him.

2nd lead female is textbook "stage-5-clinger" and it's hilarious, because she isn't even getting the d yet lol. Also lol @ both of them being so matter of fact over not like each others SO.

2nd lead male is a pos, but he's right about their friendship (although that's totally just an excuse). If they had married the two of them would either not b friends now or be having an affair lol

When her coworker called Ha Na out for her lack of work ethic when relationship stuff gets in the way, I didn't even feel bad for Ha Na, cause it's so freaking true. GURLLL, SEPARATE WORK AND PERSONAL LIFE!!!

Yeah 2nd female lead... her character I can not stand at all.

I love this show, but nothing is going on, I'm mostly watching bc HJW and LJW look great together and they have amazing chemistry

Both second leads are annoying and they need to go, but it's a kdrama, what do I expect

MTE. Bless Ha Ji Won and Lee Jin Wook, if it weren't for them I doubt if I'd be watching this.

I haven't watched the Taiwanese version either, but the comments section dramabeans is a mess, some are constantly praising the original and some are saying that Won in the Taiwanese version is more frustrating to watch and the plot even slooooower.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out if I should watch the original version by reading the comments on DB but the only thing I got is that some people REAAAALLLY like the original (and that Pinocchio fans are still going strong which is ??? for me bc I never finished it)

I watched the original. The main guy can be frustrating, like he is reeeeally passive. And the main girl is reeeally agressive. Some dislike the original because she is "dificult or a selfish bitch" and main guy is a "loser"

I understand YQ (original Hana) is very difficult to handle, and yes, selfish and arrogant. But she knows what she wants, and does what she wants. She doesn't accept a no.

Some fans got pissed because they thought she didn't care about DR(original won)'s feelings

I confess the original dragged. But I understood more why DR didn't confess to YQ. His fear was palpable. Their friendship was deep. And the writing is better imo.

I liked difficult to handle YQ and gentle and calm Da ren! They match <3s

And DR always says things like

“Don’t let yourself be someone’s bookmark but a book worth reading again and again.”

"Remember you are not the other choice. You should be his only choice"

"You are a book worth reading over and over again"

This! In the tw version i bought the reasoning as to why they stayed friends all those years.. And in the first couple of episodes, they really just felt like friends. While in this version....

lmao I can't understand Pinocchio fans either, I dropped Pinocchio, too, because it was just lame and underwhelming. Was it really necessary to turn the brother into a ruthless murderer? I could never root for the main couple either. Anyway that writer has a thing for adding supernatural elements to her dramas and unconventional main couples.

Some don't like You Qing because she is real...a person with wants and needs. Some don't like Da Ren because he chose to put their friendship first but also made a choice to protect his feelings too. Neither was perfect and both made mistakes but they worked it out

Hmm...I even watched the movie Lovesick for them. They are both filming Go Lala Go 2 with ZaiZai right now

I'm watching it for Yoon Kyun Sang. He makes me smile every time he's on screen. Must be the Pinocchio effect. The back story of why he did not appear on their wedding day is all I'm looking forward to.

The plot is dragging and the second leads are annoying but I don't really care, because Ha Ji Won and Lee Jin Wook are fabulous. Ha Na's family is adorable. I like that we get for once a normal family without fauxcest, birth secrets, runaway dads yadda yadda.

Obviously they have to drag out Won's confession and Ha Na's realization that he's been in love w/ her all these years and that she's been in love w/ him, too, until the final episodes. Otherwise the drama would end. Although I wouldn't mind it, if it would happen a bit earlier and they'd show what happens after the tearful hugs and dramatic I-love-you-confession-scene like in FTLY or Reply 1997. Too many dramas end abruptly.

Really? I quite liked the three (four?) dramas I've seen him in. I didn't watch Musketeers but that seemed to be well liked as well. I guess it's just preference.

It's sad that tvn won't produce the rest of Musketeers drama, it ended with a cliffhanger. The production in general felt rushed and I think if it was tad bit better planned, it would be more of a success.
I'm yet to watch most of his pre-enlistment stuff too.

Yeah, I was thinking of checking it out but I don't want to be left wanting like with Vampire Prosecutor. Korea hasn't really gotten the hang of a multiple season drama, lol. I only know 2 of them?
The first thing I ever saw him in was Someday where he played opposite Bae Doo Na; they were so sweet! If you haven't seen that, I recommend it. You can watch it on Crunchyroll. I still have fond feelings for that drama, I only watched it once haha.

I watched the original twice; I love it. But I can see there are many differences in this, I'm going to have to enjoy it as it's own thing lol. Lee Jin Wook is one of the loves of my life, I think I'll be fine.

I'm watching this right now and still can't be sure if I like it or not.
The one thing that was confusing to me is, who is the woman that Choi Won is living with and working with.
Is it truly his sister or someone he's calling older sister? The whole conversation about his mother was confusing to me cause she wasn't say "our" mother and then I though okay, they're step siblings but then she talked about his dad and it was just like wha? who are you people and why are you living together?

Yes it's kind of dragging, but I don't even care. I could watch 20 episodes of Lee Jin Wook looking angst riddled and staring longingly at the love of his life with nothing else happening and be perfectly fine.
