Something that’s right in front of your eyes is sometimes the hardest for you to see. Jang Ha Na (Ha Ji Won) and Choi Won (Lee Jin Wook) have been lifelong friends. Through thick and thin, they’ve been through many things together in the nearly 20 years of friendship, including relationships that each has had with other people.

Approaching her 30th birthday, Ha Na receives an email from Won that jokes about the “symptoms of premature aging.” Angry about the widely held belief that men are like grapes that turn into a fine bottle of wine as they age while women are like grapes that shrivel up into raisins, Ha Na makes a bet with Won that she can get married first before they turn 35.

Will Ha Na and Won be able to find their true loves or have they been blind to what’s been there all along?

“The Time I’ve Loved You (aka The Time We Were Not in Love)” is a 2015 South Korean dramas series directed by Jo Soo Won. It is a remake of the popular 2011 Taiwanese drama “In Time With You.”

I just dislike L's fish dead eyes when he acts but he was I guess okay in this drama and it pissed me off TT___TT
Korea isn't ready for gay characters..........
I hope they keep the second lead as the douche he was in the taiwanese version though

Man...we should have known Korea would change it but it kind of makes sense with with all the Noona-Dongsaeng romances to make him a schemer trying to manipulate that

He is so obvious that he loves her...like why is he so stupid?

In the original Taiwanese drama his ~betrayal was that the character was actually gay.

It actually caused a bit of kerfluffle lol because in the original drama it was revealed by the character getting spotted making out with an old boyfriend and fandom flipped their shit at Myungsoo's potential first real drama kiss being with another guy.

Making out? Iirc a guy barged in a hotel room looking for myungsoo's character and spilled the beans that he was only dating her for corporate gain and that he doesn't even like girls. They did have him kiss a guy towards the end

I only went off the screencaps I saw on Twitter and the reaction it caused in the Infinite fandom. I've never seen the original drama so my mistake, sorry.

I knew it even before the show started, they wouldn't dare to make the character gay.
I don't buy in this version that they have been friends for such a long time and there hasn't been some moments of doubt before (I mean for both parts at the same time), meanwhile in the taiwanese version it really felt like they were just good friends. But I'm sure I'm not being objective because I have a soft spot for Ariel Lin.
And I just watched I Need Romance 2 and sometimes I get confused because with the same actor and all the things about being friends for a lot of years, I'm not sure what things happened in which one lol

off topic but is INR2 good? I watched 3 for the Sung Joon-Kim So Yeon pairing and wanted to try one of the others.

I still didn't watch the last two episodes but I like it. Maybe it is because Lee Jin Wook is so handsome to me that only seeing his face makes me feel good lol
But if you found his character in this drama frustrating, I think you would do it too in INR2. The character is really similar, know the girl since kids and his in love with the girl but for some dumb reason (like in all kdramas) he keeps acting like he doesn't. Except that in INR2 starts after they already had a relationship.
Watch it. I wouldn't say that is a specially good drama but I liked it more than INR1, and it is on par with INR3. In my opinion haha

sry jumping in --- not really imo but lee jin wook and jung yumi have super great chemistry and there is alot of kissing. writing-wise, nah. frustrating and too long, like most dramas. i wouldn't touch the first inr with a bargepole, the male lead is the worst (it does have the best lady friendships out of the 3 tho).

it's often the worst rated out of the series but it was my favourite. it was realistically frustrating and fun.

I was actually confused that L was in it at all, I actually went back and checked if he was supposed to be a full time cast member or not. Does this mean he doesn't ever reappear? Seems strange that they didn't cast a regular actor for it if that's the case. What was his character like in the other version?

Won is so gd obvious about his feelings for her that it's getting irritating. 17 YEARS? I'm very curious about his excuse.

In the tw version, the character popped up throughout the whole series as a friend the female main character could confide in.

As for acting, he was also not a very good actor, but very tall and cute.

I was gonna watch this drama because i really liked T-ITWY but i saw screencaps of HJW and got kinda creeped out by how obvious her jaw shave has gotten and now i can't unsee/concentrate on anything other than that when i see her so now i can't force myself to watch the drama.

LJW also lost some weight from his face which makes him look older. I actually thought he was closer to 40, i was actually surprised to find out he was born in '81. This kinda makes their high-school scene look slightly ridiculous.

Idk i was ok/happy with the casting when they announced it (tho Gong Yoo/Jun Ji Hyun would've been the most ideal) but i'm not feeling them in the end product so i'm not interested enough to watch it and potentially ruin my love/enjoyment of the taiwanese version.

i thought she had just lost alot of weight but yeah, it does look like she got her jaw shaved. ://///

i definitely think gong yoo / jeon ji hyun would have been so ideal... sigh imo altho the script is pretty bad, i don't think even they could save the korean version.

ugh why do k-broadcast channels attempt remakes of great/well-written dramas with subpar scripts?

$$$$

they're getting desperate bc ratings are so bad in korea rn so they're trying to appeal to more overseas markets (used to be just japan, but now it's china and taiwan too) with lazy remakes.

idk if you look at her debut days her jaw was like how it is right now - i think she also just lost a shit ton of weight in addition to maybe a little noninvasive stuff

Nah, i actually compared her old photos to make sure i wasn't going blind/crazy. She always had a V-shaped face (which makes this surgery all more unnecessary) and her jaw bone wasn't that prominent (ugh idk what it's called but hopefully you understand what i'm talking about, that angular end of jaw below one's ears). If she just lost some weight it would actually make that bone more prominent but on the contrary her face looks like an even sharper V and her jaw starts basically from her ears with no sign of any angularities.

I think people don't talk about it/don't notice it easily because 1) as i've said her face was already V-shaped 2) it was barely noticeable before she dropped weight but now imo it looks very unnatural.

Edit: i forgot to mention with 2) that she obviously didn't do it just prior to this drama, she did it at least a few years ago it's just more noticeable now because of weight loss.

Ugh at that umbrella scene though.
I prefer the swoon worthy moment of coming to her rescue when she was losing face infront of exbf, just by showing up and giving her company. This swirl turn around to protect her from the water splashing is so overplayed rme.

I really wanted to like you because of the leads Show
