SM replies with IDK shrug regarding SJ's comeback date

So this news came out..

It looks like Super Junior will be joining the summer comeback rush. On July 3, industry insiders told Star News that Super Junior’s comeback date has been set. Apparently, the group is planning to come back during the third week of July. The group will be making a comeback in 11 months since their last album “Mamacita” which was released in August 2014.

Currently, members Sungmin and Shindong are serving their military service. Meanwhile, Yesung has completed his military service. Thus their comeback will include different members from “Mamacita.”

According to the sources, it is highly likely that the new album will be a special album rather than a regular full-length album.

SM Entertainment has yet to disclose when the new album will be released, but it appears as though the group will definitely be making a summer comeback. This summer will definitely be interesting as many popular boy and girl groups are making their comebacks around the same time.

Super Junior will also be holding their “Super Junior World Tour ‘Super Show6′ Encore” concerts on July 11-12 in Seoul’s Olympic Park Gymnasium.

One Way's Peter has been updating fans with hints, saying that the special summer album will be coming out soon and that Donghae had a hand in making the title track. It's also rumoured that this is just a special summer album, and that 8jib will be released later this year. It seems that SM was not keen on releasing this album and that it was something SJ wanted to do for fans. Scheduling conflicts with SNSD?

i know it's their 10th anniversary, but they shouldn't be forcing shit. give us quality. no one wants a 'best of' album. just wait until later this year and give us a new full length album.

still can't believe mamacita flopped? that album was solid and gave us something new and mature. they're grown men now. can't be still serving us 2006 cutesy kpop realness.

Tbh many good songs flop because the public is no longer interested on the group so they don't even bother to check the song and vice versa. It's a pity, but it's how it works sometimes.

sm is suuuuuuuuuch a mess right now. this soshi / suju / shinee july overlap business is ridiculous like they easily could have worked one of the three so they started promotions RIGHT at the start of the month or even in late june but... no..., that's too difficult for them i guess? i'm starting to feel like the theory everyone has about them rushing in as many comebacks as they can from older groups so they can focus on debuting their male rookies in the second half of the year is more realistic than not at this point.

like soshi's obviously releasing "party" on the 7th/8th and they're promoting for sure from the 10th - 19th on music shows. "you think" is pretty much unofficially confirmed for an august release so most are assuming the album won't be released until then. articles said mid-july for BOTH shinee and suju within the span of two weeks - with members from both groups alluding to this being true. suju doing their obvious hinting and shinee telling fans during their goodbye fanmeet on june 21st that they'd be back in july / jonghyun mentioning on his radio show a few days ago that their repack promos would be done before summer finishes.

a part of me feels like sm is just playing clueless right now? i think they may have done to same with soshi when their comeback news started to get stronger and then, boom, within a week the first teaser drops. that's why i'm gonna keep my eye out over the next few days for suju.

Tbh "before the summer finishes" could mean literally anything from now to august or even september (even though being a repack they can't dely it for more than 2-3 months so it'd be august at the latest). But yeah, I don't even know what SM is doing anymore. They should have set Party for mid/late june since they only had the EXO repackage at the very beginning of the month, Suju/SHINee for july with 2-3 weeks within each other and then august for SNSD again. It just feels very rushed.

i'd think that as well if there weren't already rumors about being set to start a tour in japan as early as september. they're already cutting it pretty close with the timeline right now, tbh. it'll be two months since odd came out in a little over a week and sm rarely goes more than two months between the initial album release / release of the repack. key is busy as hell with his musical until the 19th so it couldn't be before that point. so, unless sm plans on JUST promoting party through almost the end of the month we're probably gonna be seeing one of the two confirmed in the next week. it is rushed though, for multiple reasons and biggest reason in august isn't big bang (or wonder girls) but the infinite challenge song comp and how 75% of their confirmed artists already are huge digital sellers so the entire chart is going to be occupied in august basically.

Remember Exo and TTS? or Exo and Shinee or RV and Fx(?)
Hope Suju doesn't promote along with Snsd since Snsd's comeback is SO hyped right now.
