Synopsis:
When a serial killer strikes women who all have a similar appearance, the police department’s Special Crime Investigation Team is stumped. While Cha Ji An (Jang Na Ra), an elite detective, and her fellow colleagues are assessing the latest crime scene, the mysterious Lee Hyun (Seo In Guk) shows up and instantly assesses the trademark attributes of the killer. Hyun is a genius criminal profiler with a degree in criminal psychology who received an anonymous email that brought him to the crime scene all the way from the United States. The serial killer seems to be sending a personal message to Hyun with the clues he leaves behind, and Hyun wonders if it could be related to an escaped criminal “monster” from his childhood who killed his father and was responsible for the disappearance of his younger brother. Ji An has known Hyun since childhood and is ecstatic to see her childhood crush again, but Hyun doesn’t seem to remember her. With no leads to capture the serial killer, Ji An and her colleagues solicit Hyun’s help. Can Hyun and Ji An solve the case and find answers to their pasts? “I Remember You” is a 2015 South Korean drama series directed by No Sang Hoon.

Jang Nara's character is annoying to the nth degree. I love this woman to bits but this annoying aggressive, over-the-top cop routine she's pulling out makes me want to punch myself in the teeth. I really wish dramaland would ease up with the genius male/incompetent female trope. The reason she's stalking him better be really blinking clever. The way she casually waltzes into his home (after using the key he hid behind the knocker) had my skin crawling. Her complete disregard for his personal space may end up being the deal breaker for me with this show. :(

And is weird that I find the lawyer (who I'm 99% sure is Min) very, very attractive? He gives me Lee Jong Suk vibes. Plus, I think the medical examiner is the "monster" killer from Lee Hyeon's past. It would make a lot of sense for him to stick close enough to keep an eye on the police's investigation while also sticking it to the "man" since he's literally right under their noses. Besides his conversation with Lee Hyeon over tea was too creepy to be insignificant.

I agree on Jang Nara's character. All that stalking is making me rather uncomfortable. That's not exactly healthy behaviour and it troubles me how light the drama makes it look. Her character better have a really good reason :/

I also think the medical examiner is Joon Young and that the lawyer (who is very shady too) is Min. Idk, but I also have the feeling that young Lee Hyeon was covering up for his younger brother Min, which could explain shady lawyer (if he is Min of course).

But she's not that incompetent. She's actually been keeping you with him (an has somehow been able to stalk him for years without him realizing it). The only reason he's still "smarter" than her is because he has a head start aka he knows there's a mastermind behind all these murders. Plus he eventually does the same thing. Hacks her professional email (which is probably really illegal) and breaks into her house too.


The lawyer is super cute (I think he's the little bro). The Doc has to be the monster, there's no other logical explanation for why he gets some much screen-time and there are no coincidences (them being neighbours) in drama-land lol

I think they are going to Dexter (1st Season) route with the medical examiner. They should tone down his scenes though since rn all the audiences are suspicious of him. They should do it like Dexter -- very subtle but at the same time very surprising when it finally revealed.

Word is that he chose this over Elizabeth (which meant a plus one package deal for my bb) so gaaaaaah it saddens me that i don't love this. It feels so..... Disjointed. Like watching two different dramas. One very fluffy romcom and another, procedural. It lacks that thing that connects both sides of the story.

I am how ever still interested in Hyeon's backstory and Bogum's pretty face, Inguk's body in suits, and Most importantly, Inguk's body without the suits. I like both leads enough to keep watching it.

I love this show and have finally realized that Seo Inguk is FINE as hell...yes

Also Ji An stalking him for all that time, becoming a cop, and having the case file on his Dad seems to all lead back to Joon Young

I think Joon Young is the ME and if that is the case I also think he know's his tie to Ji An which is why they are close

I think Min was the sociopath and that the lawyer may be him...he clearly knew how to adapt to a situation and manipulate his Father when he said he didn't make the drawings and for Dad to not trust Hyun

I was into the first two episode because lord was D.O. character creepy, but seeing gifs for the remaining episodes I was like....is this the same show? Like I know D.O. is in it for only two episodes. But the build up from the first two ep was great...but then you got the rest and I'm like...meh..

I'm soooo happy this show exist. I didn't even think of dreaming of this pair. They look so good together (Sunny did good lol).
I haven't watched ep 4 with subs yet but overall I love it. It's the first show I've been watching live since KMHM (and that's just because I loved Secret).

The only downside is that he's keeping some really important secrets from the popo. Like he is literally playing hide and seek with a serial killer on the dl lol. I'm okay with the stalking because it's kind humanizes the male character by making his perfect super brain flawed (money is he['s faking not knowing her and he's secretly missed her all these years).

This drama seemed like Missing Noir M with the plot. I hope it didnt become like it since while the drama keeps getting interesting per episode, it had a really ridiculous and stupid ending. :(

I'm going to need Ji An to step it up. I know she must be elite detective & top police graduate of her year for a reason. Kinda nagl at her being a stalker I hope they're not trying to encourage the sasaeng fans...
Can't wait for their partnership to fully kick in tho.

I like the ost song too.

I want to like this more but ugh that last ep 4 is meh. Too much backstory rn & not enough present time pacing if that makes sense.

I'm still on the fence with this drama, but I'll keep watching because I love our leads and I believe they can do a good job. and I want more shenanigans with the police team. it's sweet to see them warming to chun hee's character...

i am loving this drama. its very bbc sherlock. i like that its a romcom and procedural. i like the lighter moments mixed in with the heavy. i do hate how dumb the cops are. they are always so dumb in these shows idg. thankfully ji an isnt THAT dumb. she was able to retrace hyus steps when he trespassed at the second victims house and she was able to find the secret code that the murderer had left. so not completely incompetent.


i never really got the appeal of seo inguk but i am getting it now. he looks very good in this drama.

I don't think the cops are dumb, they're just out of their depth chasing a genius criminal mastermind while dealing with all that red tape. We're used to watching extraordinary investigators whose thought process we can follow so everyone outside that circle does look a bit thick. I do wish they give the others some leverage as the drama unfolds so they're not just minions but an actual team (eg. Elementary).

All that said, SIG does look good in this drama. :D

Im watching but this drama isn't clicking for me. Like others have said, I dont find the tone consistent enough. SIG is gorgeous but I have a hard time reconciling hot older Hyeon with adorable younger Hyeon. I can see Lawyer as older Min because of how... blank ~mong~ they are.

I only watched the first episode but D.O was really great in it. I happened to be in the tag and saw gifs from the premiere and didn't even think twice. He plays this role very well.

Korean crime dramas haven't disappointed me much(...damn you God's Gift) yet, so I can't wait to see where this goes.

Caught up, whoo! From the moment the doctor appeared, I knew who he was. I thought the lawyer was Min, but the face of the guy who attacked Hyeon looked different. Hmm...but Yang knew his kiler, so maybe Min is the lawyer.

I have this thought, a wishful thinking one, that Hyeon's father never thought HE was the monster, but Min. Hyeon just happened to be the one who read the words. There's no way his father would have ignored or forgotten how Min lied about Hyeon drawing the pictures, when Min was begging Hyeon to help him find some crayons so he could draw. Isolating him from Min as opposed to keeping Hyeon from everyone else. But like I said, wishful thinking. Ah! and his father also mentioned the triad of behaviors that serial killers usually have: enuresis, killing animals, and arson. He never mentioned Hyeon as doing those things, so I wonder if he actually thought Hyeon would grow up to be a killer.

Also Hyeon's "mother" knows something about this case that plagues the fuck out of her, which is why it had to be hidden, and I am dying to know what it is.
