Ok Taecyeon Returns to the Small Screen as Second Lead in 'Assembly'

2PM′s Taecyeon will be returning to the small screen.

Taecyeon has been confirmed to play Kim Kyu Hwan, a student preparing for the civil service exam, in upcoming KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama Assembly, which will follow Masked Prosecutor.

The drama marks Taecyeon′s comeback to the small screen since starring in Wonderful Days a year ago.

Jung Jae Young and Song Yoon Ah will star as the leads in Assembly, drawing viewers into the veiled National Assembly and its members.

The the first episode will air on July 15.


Give me geeky turned sexy-as-sin-in-a-suit Taecyeon any day. I really hope that he doesn't eff this up. It has the potential to be a great role. I'm cautiously looking forward to it.

People hating for him taking this role, saying that he's not on par with the lead actors (who are senior respectable actors). But his role is not even 2nd lead who directly against main actor.

I'm still bit wary tho, because I read somewhere, that he'll have affair with the lead actress - so the character probably will get hate, and could he really deliver?

Anyway, I'm happy he's taking this role, tho, because the main actors are great seniors, he could learn something from them - if he wants to continue to act, he should get more experiences. His co-stars in Wonderful Days were all respectable actors too, and I could see he learned from them (even Lee Seojin takes care of him until now) - his acting in the later part of the series were significantly better and more natural.

He's not the best actor in the industry, but he also knows that about himself.

I heard about the affair thing as well. This could be a good role for him. And like you said, he's paired up with some really great industry vets. I'm going into this very cautiously because I will say, I'm not the biggest fan of his acting. I adored him in 'Who Are You' because the character has his silly moments, which was when he really shined. The more he works with really great actors, the more he's going to learn.

I got really annoyed that when it was first announced, a lot of people were making comments about how they could never see Taec being a studious person and that he's more likely to be at the gym than the library... He's probably one of the smarter idols in the industry. I can't believe people don't actually know that. It's besides the point, but I was so angry hahaha

I hope he does well, I really do. The premise looks really good and I want to watch it.

Who are you was 2 years ago, generally it was nothing special but I still remember my sweaty self sitting in front of pc and waiting for a freaking subs lol I've got so much sentiment for that drama and I can't even exactly tell why;P
