So my opinion is probably gonna be one of the more unpopular ones. While it's nice that Hyeri got a tan (leastwise it seems like that after seeing the previous image teasers), having that tan with pitch black hair doesn't look great (hence why I think Hyorin's tan is too much). My mom mentioned it to me the other day (she hates that I get too tan because she says it doesn't look good on me) that while it's okay to be tanned, darker tans don't look go on Asians as well as they do on Caucasians simply because of our skin pigment. Because Asians have the yellow skin pigment and Caucasians don't, our tans look different and not great-looking.

After she told me that, I thought back to last year when I graduated (and I think I was darker then) and I looked...I don't know how to describe it, but it was like someone played too much with colors and oversaturated either the green or yellow. Something to that extent. One of my guy friends also got much darker and it gives off a sickly feeling. Not pale sickly but something else. I have no idea how to explain it but yeah.

But that aside, song sounds like a jam!

EDIT: Actually, I just rewatched it...Hyeri's tan is actually okay. I think what threw me off was the BB cream on her face...ha ha ha

I didn't like that third picture you shared as much - exactly what I mean. Jet black hair (those colored contacts also prolly didn't help). Looking at the picture more, it's not as bad. But I love the tan on her in the other pictures. She's pretty gorgeous.

I'm looking at more Hyorin pictures. I think if she stands with the other SISTAR members, she looks so out of place. Her tan in previous summers were good but I also believe that if her hair were a lighter color, the tan would look nice.

Tbh before Hyorin's tan never bothered me but I've seen a few pictures that it didn't really look as nice with her black hair but I guess it depends on several factors lol like clothes, hairstyle, and stuff like standing next to the other members at times isn't favorable.
Some people can pull it off and others can't.

they were talking about hyeri, hyorin, and asians in general with tans (or in hyorin's case, actually brown).

Yes human skin colour comes in different tone AND undertones: ie warm, cool, neutral. Not all white people have the same undertone: to white people can be supper pale but the one with a pink undertone will look paler than the one with a warm/yellow undertone (this one would be described as beige or olive).

That being said; your mother is colourist. POINT BLANK (and probably you too since you've been raised to internalize self-hate). Just because you have a yellow undertone (aka a warm skin tone) doesn't mean you look bad, your skin would actually look best tan because it would bring out the worth in your skin.

Anyways: cheers and hopefully one day you'll learn to love yourself the way you are.
