Upon completing their Tokyo Dome Tour on June 24th, Girl’s Generation has launched into full preparations for their July comeback.

However, on June 21st, screenshots of a “Catch Me If You Can” music video that included Jessica surfaced with the full music video leaking just hours later. In addition, it was revealed that a Jessica & Krystal subunit had finished recording their album and a complete music video but was cancelled, along with plans for a second season of Jessica & Krystal the tv program.

Upon this news, user @RealSamchon, took to Twitter to reveal details about Jessica, stating that she was initially supposed to go on hiatus after Girls Generation finished their dome tour as 9 on the 24th. RealSamchon is known to have a great deal of insider information about Girl’s Generation, and is a prominent figure in the international SONE community.

Koreaboo has compiled tweets and rumors to summarize the rumors and speculations by both RealSamchon, OnionTaker and others.

Following news reports of her leaving Girls’ Generation in 2014, RealSamchon tweeted that she was planning on leaving next year (2015) anyway.

RealSamchon then revealed that Jessica’s plans to leave were reported by newspapers. Supposedly, Jessica had plan to go on hiatus rather than leaving the group all together following the Girl’s Generation Tokyo Dorm tour. As a whole, the group had mentally prepared for her leave, recorded “Catch Me If You Can” as their Tokyo Dome tour single, and decided on “Divine” to be Jessica’s farewell song to Sones before going on hiatus.

However, it seems that when Jessica had second thoughts and asked to stay in the group, her members, who had already prepared for her farewell concert and her hiatus plans, did not want to let her back in the group.

If true, this would support the wording behind Jessica’s breaking Weibo post on September 30th saying, “I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today, I’m no longer a member. I’m devastated – my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out..”

Another well-known fan, John Yoo, @Oniontaker, confirmed RealSamchon’s words in a series of tweets as well.

In addition, when Jessica’s leave was first revealed, many were confused since SM had revealed earlier that year that the group had resigned for another 3 years. However, Oniontaker addressed this topic as well.

Meanwhile, Girl’s Generation is preparing for a July comeback, teasing fans with new hair cuts and colors while Jessica has been busy with her company BLANC & ECLARE, launched an $18,000 watch project, and was recently featured in BEAUTY+.

In situations like members leaving/breaking apart from groups, I don't get the people running around believing rumors because they're all believing stuff while still in the shadows of what actually went on. There's no need to take this stuff seriously either. It's kpop for goodness sakes, not some inseparable part of your life that must be taken personally. It's a lot easier to just like what/who you like and leave it at that...makes being a fan easier than taking imaginary sides and believing narratives to fit how you want to see it.

Anyway, it's always odd to run into comments about betraying the group or not being loyal because again this is kpop and those that write comments like that are not necessarily pissed of how members leave but that they leave in general.
