KPOP EMERGENCY! Super Junior is currently filming a comeback MV

It has been reported that the members of Super Junior are in the middle of filming for the group’s upcoming comeback music video!

This news was revealed as a result of member Kim Heechul’s absence from the press conference for the new travel reality show “MAPS” that took place on the same day.

On June 26, the press conference for Olive TV’s “MAPS” opened up at the Stanford Hall in Mapo District with cast members Girls’ Generation’s Yuri, actress Choi Kang Hee, rapper Simon D, as well as the director in attendance.

Heechul’s absence from this event has provided fans with an unexpected update on the progression of Super Junior’s comeback preparations.

While Heechul was originally scheduled to attend, he was unable to make adjustments to his schedule due to the overlap with his music video filming.

Prior to the start of the press conference, a representative of the show announced, “A full group filming for Super Junior’s music video was scheduled for today, so Heechul was not able to come today. He has expressed his disappointment and apologies. Please be understanding of the situation.”

Meanwhile, “MAPS” is set to begin airing on June 28 at 9:40 p.m. (KST).

I thought Donghae hasn't been working with Chance for years though? Chance (Mikey) is now part of Duble Sidekick. AFAIK Donghae now works with Peter & Youngsky (Team Onesound). Maybe after SM let Donghae/Onesound produce Growing Pains as a title track for D&E they'll let them do it for SJ? I hope so. I was meh about Growing Pains at first but it has grown on me.

I'm afraid and excited-ish.

After the trainwreck that was Mamacita as their title track, I've been fearful that it'll be another repeat. My dislike for Mamacita is of epic proportions that I'd rather listen to Sexy Free & Single I'm ready to bingo 100 times than listen to Mamacita for more than two minutes. Though I will say the rest of the Mamacita album wasn't too bad. Evanesce, Midnight Blues, Raining Spell for Love (♥ this gives me so many feels), and This is Love were nice ballad-y tracks. Shirt was fun, but I know Donghae can do better.

Because every time I listen to Donghae and Eunhyuk's Growing Pains, the more I love it. I think it's my fave non-dance SJ/non-SJ title track in a long while. Reminds me of the awesome but underrated "So Cold" collab from SS5 that Henry, Donghae, Siwon and Eunhyuk performed. Need more songs like that and less crack songs like Mamacita. They also need more "smexy" songs like D&E's "I wanna love you." I need more sexy Suju and less crack Suju.

But yes, I echo what all ELF have been saying: Please let Donghae write more music (specifically lead tracks and ballad tracks) for Super Junior. ANYTHING he, Teuk, Hyuk, Won, etc have written is better than listening to a track like Mamacita.

Weeping that Donghae will be enlisting soon-ish later this year. Thank goodness we'll be seeing them at KCON this year. My body is ready for Donghae LOL
